Cornelius, why did you ran away from your own family?
Axel: Wow, starting off strong, ain’t they? Cornelius: I suppose they are. Look, Maggie was, IS a wonderful woman. She found me at a very…vulnerable time in my life. As I said at the time she had been very charming and alluring-
Axel: Gross. Very gross, but go on.
Cornelius: Ahem, yes, well, needless to say at the moment it all made sense. But she didn’t seem like a lady about commitment. in fact she made that abundantly clear that what we did wasn’t going to be a thing. Not that it mattered, I didn’t want a thing, the most we knew about one another were our names so it wasn’t like it was going anywhere.
Axel: Okay, that makes sense, I could sing the alphabet with the names all the guys she invited over. So, what, you regret not chasing her or something?
Cornelius: No…see my regret comes from, er, I never left my family in a sense you see, cause Mag wasn’t part of my family. I’m a very committed man, a flawed one I admit but I’ve been married for forty-four years, Axel.
Axel: Cool, cool, congrats I guess.
Cornelius: So, you get where I’m going with this?
Axel: Ooooh you are gonna in so much trouble duuuuuuuuude.
