Note: I really enjoy the way things are going in our thread right now, and I’d also like to do some backstory threads at some point. I have one AU in which Lobco is Wadanohara’s familiar so it’d be interesting to see how well they work and get a long when they are co-familiars too, especially since I imagine like Samekichi, Lobco would have been one of Wada’s earlier familiars so they probably worked alone for a while.

General Opinion: So funny story. I’ve only ever really RPed with a Samekichi once and it was in a crack thread back in dreamwidth. They were stuck playing Strip Never Have I Ever with a much of other Mogekos so as you can imagine neither of them was happy about it. So they teamed up and started specifically targeting people to to get them out so they can end the game asap.
They were found out quickly and received a taste of their own medicine, alas. It was very silly but ever since then I’ve been fond of the idea of these two as friend and outside of crack scenarios I can see it. They’re both quiet people who have trouble making friends and getting on with others (albeit for very different reasons). I think Lobco would probably have been scared of him at first, but the game shows that both Doloz and Cherryblod are fond of Samekichi so I think they would have helped her to see what kind of person he really was.
Lobco really respect Samekichi as a familiar, and as someone who freely speaks his mind.

Haha I started off disliking Samekichi. I mean it was pretty obvious from the start he wasn’t an antagonist but I was just so fed up with him dancing around the issue and trying to ‘protect’ Wadanohara without coming out and just being upfront and honest with her and talking about the issue maturely.
Turns out she would have literally died if he had done that so now I am forever apologizing to him. So I do enjoy his sense of loyalty but at the same time I’m still a little torn on the issue since….I don’t think his character is very consistent? We see him interact with a lot of other characters and he seems to genuinely be kind to people like Nekoyama (I adore the almost familial relationship they have), Tarako, and even Irena despite how he complains about running errands for her.
On the other hand we literally get him straight up saying he doesn’t give a shit if the sea becomes corrupted and he only cares about Wadanohara soooooo. Yea don’t like that so much. But as I said it doesn’t really jive with what he has said/done before so it may have just been a thoughtless comment said because of the stressful situation.
If it’s to be taking seriously then he kinda falls big time for me, but if not then I really adore him. I don’t really like characters whose entire existence is dependent on another person.
Memoca

Memoca is fuuuuun. She is the character that brought the most laughs to the game so it’s hard not to like her in all her blunt nature. I don’t really have too much to say about her though since she and Dolphi are pretty much presented as they are.
I guess the only thing that really strikes me is that she really is a pretty strong person. We know she has done some traveling on her own since she mentioned having visited Tosatsu Kingdom, and the fact that she has largely given up her land above to live underwater as the only non sea creature of Wadanohara’s group is pretty commendable.
Dolphi

As with Memoca I don’t have too much to say about Dolphi. I think she’s adorable and I loved the fact that despite her timid nature she has the highest damage output of the entire group. Tiny, shy powerhouses are a way into my heart.
Fukami

Fukami. I find it funny that apparently a lot of people mistook Dolphi and Memoca for being boys, while I mistook Fukami for being a girl at first. Not that that really matters. He created a nice contrast against Wadanohara, Dolphi and Memoca with his quiet and more brusque disposition. I found him very interesting because he’s a good depiction of how good people can be led astray or remain as they are by chance and not just their nature or environment.
Much like with Samekichi I do hedge a little on him being a little too oriented around a single person but I think this is a little less prevalent with him than it is Samekichi. Of all of the primary Familiars he’s definitely my favorite and I’m glad he was ultimately able to overcome his jealousy and continue to be a good friend to Wada and the other two.
Lobco

Obv I can’t say much on Chlomaki’s since aside from Lobco we don’t have much info on any of them. So this is mostly based on what I’ve seen other people depict them as and personal headcanons. Silone is the biggest and most energetic sweetheart and no one can tell me otherwise. She’s still super young (may moreso than even Dolphi and Memoca?) but her enthusiasm knows no bounds and she’s a hard worker.
Shizk

"Composed." That’s really all I have on her since aside one drabble I have literally seen nothing on Shizk. But yes she does indeed look very badass and I think she wears the uniform best ;)
Mikazki

Laughs and cries. A master of all sorts of weapons since we’ve seen her with three different kinds? She’s smart, and calm (most of the time) and I usually see either her or Fungas as having been the first of Chlomaki’s Familiars so she probably understands her very well. Maybe even better than she understands herself?
Unfortunately lifegonemad and I have sorta ruined her in that we’ve essentially made her a rabid shipper lmao.
Fungas

Don’t let the scary appearance fool you Fungas is an absolute sweetheart. He can be a little gruff in his speech but he’s a keenly empathetic person and seems to know what someone needs without it needing to be said. He’s kinda parental towards the other and a little serious but also kind of sensitive and shy and nothing will convince me otherwise.
Pretty strong but doesn’t like fighting. I headcanon Lobco gets along best with him uvu

He told Wadanohara his car was going to break down soon, and that it needs to be fixed! But even so his friend asked—- looking at him with those puppy eyes, to go and help her friend Lobco whose car broke down somewhere near the city.
Now they both couldn’t go back home. They now have to wait for someone to appear and take them back to their city. “Ugh…” His usual bad mood got worse.
Thanks, my ‘dear’ car. Fuck you too.

Lobco was 1000% sure that this was her fault. In some way. Misfortune seemed to follow her wherever she went and now here it was, effecting not only herself but a friend of a friend.
The poor lobster wasn't even sure what had caused her car to break down so suddenly. This morning when she had first set out it was in tip top shape, only for it to suddenly die on her, She had nearly ended up in a ditch--her car balancing precariously on the edge.
Thankfully she had gotten out (mostly) unharmed.
