Titanic rose x male reader where Rose gets seasick
So sorry about the wait! I started a new job recently and have been trying to get into the new groove of things. Hope you enjoy!
Rose was leaning over the railing of the ship's deck, gagging. She'd been standing there like this for about 15 minutes now, occasionally dry heaving or managing to get a burp up. But thus far, her effort to puke had been unproductive. She turned to look at you over her shoulder, her eyes glistening with unshed tears and her pretty face pale. "{Name}...can you rub my back, please?" She begged, her voice soft a pitiful. She relaxed into your touch a bit as you obliged, taking a few shaky breaths.
Eventually you convinced her to move away from the rails and go back to the cabin. It seemed to you that if she was going to throw up, she would've done it already. Reluctantly, Rose stepped away from the railing and stumbled into your arms, cuddling into your broad chest and holding her stomach.
The walk back to your shared cabin was long and slow...Rose held onto your arm, her dizziness visible in her gait as she struggled to find her sea legs. The whole walk she was whimpering and crying...and, despite yourself, you began to wonder if she was being a tad dramatic...
"My tummy hurts, babe..." Rose moaned, grimacing against your shoulder. You muttered a few soft words of comfort, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. This seemed to settle her for a moment, until a loud burp escaped her lips and her pale face briefly turned blood red with embarrassment.
"S-sorry..." she whispered. You gave a soft chuckle and a smile, telling her that it was alright, and that she needn't be embarrassed, as you held the door to your cabin open for her.
Rose sluggishly walked inside, plopping down on the bed and waiting for you to come sit with her. You closed the door and turned on a few lights before joining her on the bed.
"Rose, are you sure you're sick? I mean...you've been saying that but you haven't puke even a-"
*BLEEEEGH!*
You froze in shock as she leaned over and puked into your lap, coughing and spitting for a few seconds afterwards.
"...little bit..." you shakily finished your ironic statement.
This was certainly not the first class experience you paid for...but for Rose, it was worth it, somehow.
