Rory took a few steps back away from the body of the creature she and Allison just found and looked at her watch. It wasn’t long since she sent coordinates, but someone should be here within the next few minutes. Not a moment after the thought passed through her head, Rory heard quiet footsteps. She crouched down quickly and looked around, only to find they belonged to an approaching Lucy and Laura.
“Oh thank goodness.” Rory let out a sigh. “Did either of you pick up on anything on your way out?”
Laura shook her head as she continued to approach. “No. What’s going on?” She stopped dead in her tracks as soon as the body came into view. She took quick note of the strange blood color and the... claws? No, talons. “I take it you weren’t the cause of death of this thing?” She raised an eyebrow to the unscathed Argents.
