hmmmm... how would the bats + clark and kon + bart + Hal (or whoever you want) be with a partner that wanted to wait until marriage? 🩷

disclaimer: not everyone is going to be okay with this, i hope everyone understands that. yes, i could use the excuse "well if you love someone enough.." but i actually know people who've dealt with this. it's unrealistic that everyone would be fine with it, even loving someone. i also don't have this marked as rated as its not inherently sexual.

❌️ kon: going straight off the fact his creator has said his sexual appetite would be large and as much as i'd love to say he'd brush it off.. i feel like he wouldn't? not saying he's a nympho or anything, but i don't see him as the highest on the list to be with someone like this. ( modern kon/v2+ would probably be a little more willing. )

✅️ bart: i feel like he'd be fine with someone who barely ever wanted things like that at all - waiting wouldn't bother him. granted, he is very much a kiss and holding hands person, he'd be pretty chill with waiting. he's kind of got the "oh shit you picked ME?" vibe of half the traumatized characters in dc, so he'd be a lot more into emotional intimacy - despite that scaring him shitless - than physical.

❌️/✅️ jason: i am going to be so fucking honest and say he could go either way and yes, it would fully depend on his feelings for the person. i don't consider jason a sexual character but he's also barely got romantic experience. my own breakdown would be yes, he would, but i view jason as someone who would be happy having a partner with heavy emotional intimacy and he would wait, because he'd want his partner. that being said, i dont like all interactions of him and i'm pretty theres a few that would be against it.

❌️ bruce: another disapproving gasp from the crowd. bruce seeks physical before he seeks emotional. not to mention, uh, he's canonically pretty active without another formal relationship. i just don't see him as being the type. he wouldn't be a dick about it and would respect your choice, also wishing you find someone, but also not being able to be that person.

✅️ dick: fuck how people write him, i stand by the fact he's said on more than one occasion he can't sleep with someone without emotional connection. i feel like.. he'd probably be the type where he'd have times where it would make him squirm, possibly just take care of himself but he's also pretty emotional and incredibly respectful.

❌️ hal: i have, begrudgingly, come to like hal thanks to two very annoying people that know exactly who they are, but i do fear he would very much not be the type to wait. not being an asshole, he's just.. a more physical love type person.

✅️ damian: damian would probably do just about anything for someone he was even remotely thinking of marrying. you don't even understand- i've written so many posts about how damian loves in general. he's incredibly respectful and also the type to consider something like that sacred. he would be more than willing to wait.

✅️ tim: setting aside my general asexual vibes from, i am pretty positive he wouldn't give a shit. you could be married and still not sleeping together and he'd probably just.. be fine. he's not really physically impulsive and more often than not has something more important going on. that being said, he's not just avoiding physical things - affection is there, but it doesn't have to move forward until you're ready for it. depending on what's going on, he possibly wouldn't even be.

✅️ clark: 🤨 i have to explain this? now, i dont like when he's written as.. infantalized like he's never thought of sex before, it's weird, but i also don't think he's out here acting like a dog in heat. he's.. probably one of these most respectful characters in dc and also never written as driven by sex. as long as there is affection, communication, and emotional intimacy, he's good to wait.

✅️ barry: yes. yes he would. he's also another character who's never much been implied in sexual situations. he's also pretty respectful and im pretty sure its just a traumatized speedster thing to crave emotional intimacy and validation over physical.

✅️ guy: im going to be holding a lot of hands when i say this but yes. if he is in love, like truly genuinely in love, he is going to wait. i know, i know, i just heard the audience lose their minds thinking i have no idea what im doing but hear me out: has anyone actually seen how he's treated lovers? he'd probably tease you about it before realizing how incredibly serious you are. it would.. take a bit for him to agree but also the thought of losing you over something like that? sure pleasure is great but.. pleasure against literally every other moment with you? no.

✅️ kyle: has always been written to prioritize emotional intimacy. he's.. pretty romantic to a fault and also respectful. he would fucking weep over being trusted with this type of sacred vulnerability, something that means that much to you. he would still kiss you, still lightly explore in ways you were comfortable with but never try to change your mind. if things got heavy, he is quite literally the type to be like; hey yaknow what lets take a breath rq-

✅️/❌️ thaddeus: five people have read my analysis on how he treats sexual contact, so i just know some people are about to unfollow me. in a general sense with his inability to process a romantic, love based relationship: nope. wouldn't work. he's not very emotionally based, so.. having the physical part taken out would kinda fuck him. however, considering my analysis is on information i HAVE and his.. closest relationship being.. his canon love & hate obsession with bart - the further breakdown of his character, once you're past that traumatic, brainwashed out layer: yes. because he's not going to jeopardize the emotional stability and intimacy over something like that.

Masumi Yodogawa has always been quick witted, self sufficient and perhaps a bit blunt. Merely having your footing and being able to hold your own is key in every mission, after all . . . Many may think their abilities, power and strength are the way to come out on top, but it isn't the full picture. Abilities and power mean absolutely nothing if the user isn't using their head in combination. Perhaps that's why she stood out to him. She was human, but she was far from average. She was intelligent, picking up things others had commonly missed, even helping Masumi himself, on a few missions without any momo or oni power.

Despite Yodogawa being used to having the answer, thinking up a multitude of plans in mere seconds . . . She came somewhere along the way and had the “power” to fill in any blanks that came up in his mind. He had seen plenty of abilities, powers and strategies in his time as commander, but he truly never believed he would witness such a captivating sight. It… honestly annoyed him. He had always been able to keep a cool head, but with her it was. . . Different. She didn't seem to mind his bluntness, even going as far as to agree with him on multiple occasions. She always seemed to be eager to help him and he was impressed by her work. That quick thinking of hers was almost considered a downright distraction . . . He found himself coming around to her for less mission related things more and more often.

Recollecting, it started small in the beginning, of course. Merely asking small questions here and there that could pass as mission related or a necessity for a report or further intel. Gathering her name, interrogating her for more details, making sure to take note of it all, for the mission obviously. Slowly as their encounters grew, the questions slipped. Starting from asking her opinion on his mission, to casually asking her how she was as well as an occasional joke falling from his lips. All while he soaked in the sight of her smile and sound of her laugh. Even allowing himself to answer a few of her personal questions . . . Making it abundantly clear this will stay between them. Just like the multitude of texts checking in on each other, from a number that was given solely for emergencies or arranging a meeting to discuss important information would. Sure, it started off as brainstorming, bouncing ideas off of each other and giving insight. . . Now their meet ups consisted of getting food together, compliments that are right at the cusp of passing as only platonic, and most importantly, making sure the other is safe.

Soon enough, he came to find himself thinking about the lingering scent of her shampoo or perfume in her absence. He sighed, with a small chuckle. What excuse would he use to explain why such a thought crossed his mind? Masumi was far from stupid, he had known what this was, what they were for a while now. It had become a feeling he couldn't ignore for much longer. . . Sighing with his signature smile still stuck on his face, he supposed it just couldn't be helped. He was in love with her.

Despite knowing a relationship would only complicate everything, he couldn't help himself, he wanted her to be his and his alone. That was now his new priority mission. The compliments became more affectionate, even stealing a few tender grasps. He’d even become playful around her, using his invisibility to sneak up on her and grab her shoulders just to mess with her. The blush that crossed her face from being embarrassed was such a pretty sight—too pretty in fact. Too pretty to keep this relationship stagnant. . .

“Do you blush like this for everyone, or is this something else that is just between us ?” Pausing as this was his last chance to keep it platonic, “I do wonder what shade you would turn if I told you I'd like for it to be just for me?”

- Plans your birthday every year like its a classified case, never daring to let any detail slide to you, no matter how hard you push. And even though youre on the look out for the special birthday surprise, she always finds a way to catch you off guard and surprise you anyway

- Would get into your hobbies even if its something shes not good at (i think she would be a complete boomer when it comes to playing online games like minecraft or something akin, and you'd have to walk her through it)

- Loves parallel playing, simply adores every comment you make out of the blue, and usually ends up in a big conversation where you get to info dump everything about your interest

- Whenever you get sick she ultra babies you, even when you start to show signs of getting better, she still forces you to take even more rest as a “just in case” (when really,, she knows your okay, she just doesn't want to give up ultra babying you)

- Always ready to have hard discussions, of course its a bit uncomfortable but she wants to smooth over any issues between you two stat! You can always be completely honest with her, she will always work with you and always lets you know she enjoyed the conversation, and will work to fix whatever issue it was.

- She would probably have a master doc of everything about you in her phone, not saying she ever really needs to look at it, but she enjoys the extra help if ever needed.

“Lets celebrate!” Shinya shouted, raising a glass as he sat in front of his gang that filled the room. His vice captain standing next to him, eyes watching the group silently. The gang wasted no time, cheers echoing in the club as practically everyone finished their glasses with ease. Shinya watched them drink down their cups, a smirk forming on his face as their attention shifted back to their previous conversations. His eyes carefully glanced over to his brooding vice captain, pouring a shot and offering him one with a stern tone. “Shi.”

Kashi turned his attention to Shinya, cocking his head to the side as he looked to the drink and back to his leader. Before he could open his mouth, Shinya spoke once more, “Tch. Don't act dumb. Drink it .”

The red head pulled at his shirt collar, clearing his throat as he thought of how he would explain his want to disobey this one command. Shinya raised his brow, growing ever more impatient. “Captain,, I..”

“..Get on with it, Kashi..”

Kashi swallowed hard, adverting his eyes as he spoke, “I. . . Don't really drink. . .” Shinya simply smirked and forced the drink into Kashi's hand, “Today you do. C’mon its a celebration, Shi. Now listen to your captain and drink it.” Shinya hardly witnessed times where Kashi delayed listening to him or even outright disobeyed, but no worries,, he knew exactly how to get him to do what he desired. There was no way Kashi would still refuse after he reinforced his position, and he was exactly correct.

His green eyes darted to the drink that was now in his hand, bargaining with himself that it at least wasn't too much. . . ‘Better to do it now, then prolong it and anger Shinya.’ He thought before downing the liquid, lying to himself that perhaps Shinya would drop it now that the action was done . . . Considering the devilish smirk that was now plastered on the others face, Kashi accepted his fate was sealed. Shinya patted the spot next to him in the booth, pulling Kashi out of his thoughts. Taking his seat far quicker then he downed the drink, Shinya peered over, pouring himself another drink. “I’ll tell you what,,, its unlike you to pause when an order if given, Shi. . . ” Shinya spoke ominously, red hairs standing up on the back of Kashi's neck as he wondered if he was about to be punished for such actions.

Shinya's voice rang out once more, “So don't keep me waiting and wondering why~!” He teased, surprisingly sounding quite friendly and merely curious.

“Ah,, my apologies, Captain. It's nothing serious, I'm just a light-weight when it comes to drinking.” Rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke, a tad embarrassed to admit something so small kept him from a measly shot. Well,, that and the fact if he's not careful,, he will go too far and no longer be able to control anything he says. . . Which is something he would rather not do in front of his leader. A laugh roared from Shinya's chest, as he moved his arm around Kashi and pulled him closer. “Pshhh and you let that get in the way from one little drink? You're so weird sometimes, Shi. I think you should cut loose for one night but who am I to tell you what to do.” He downed his shot, “It was wrong of me to make you take that shot, drink or don't tonight, its all up to you.” He shrugged, pouring himself another.

Kashi was. . . Pleasantly surprised at how lax Shinya was over him drinking tonight. It's not like him to push so hard for it to happen, and then all of a sudden let it go. Keeping that thought in the back of his mind, he looked to Shinya, “What alcohol is this, anyway? It wasn't half bad.”

The liquid burned down his throat as he slammed down his cup, letting out a refreshing sigh. “Oh, the real premium stuff. Didn't have to bring it out tonight. These fucks would be happy with anything that gets them a buzz.” Swirling the liquid of his newly poured shot, he tilted his head, “Do you have any vices, Kash?”

“Mm. I smoke the occasionally cigarette, but I think thats about it.”

“Can't say I'm surprised by that answer, though it was going to be pretty juicy if you did have one. . .What do you even do for fun?”

The boy merely shrugged, “Garden, I suppose.” As the conversation continued on, Kashi eyed the liquor, curiously. Another shot was rather tempting, despite the chance of him getting tipsy, or worse.

“Mmm. Coulda guessed that with your ability and all..” Kashi wouldn't ask for further details on something that didn't pique his interest. . . Knowing this, Shinya made the move for him. Grabbing a medium sized glass to replace both of their shot glasses. “Have another drink Kashi. Live a little.”

Kashi gulped at the sight of a medium glass full of premium liquor, he was contemplating merely one shot glass.. this was at least six! He supposed he could just sip on it and pray that the effects would take longer to take affect. . .
