the fire at the former circus building was a tragedy. he thought they BOTH could agree on that. moving the tents was a big step for the show: it was cheaper, yet could offer more of a strain in terms of size && safety. he figured charity would be worried, he didn necessarily blame her. he thought it would be a good idea to talk to her in an attempt to EASE her worries. ❛ we CANNOT change what has happened --- let’s face what we’re looking at. ❜

EMMY lou let out a tired sigh , squeezing arthur’s shoulder as he slept . the boy was quite the violent sleeper , if she was honest , and more often than not getting kicked in the back woke her up . one day , perhaps , they could move away to their own apartment , and he’d grow up happy and healthy . . . but right now that day was in the distant future , and it was best to start getting ready for the next show .

a hand laced together with charity’s from where he stood next to her, gaze overlooking what he had built. the circus was THRIVING. even after the hell they all went through, they still managed to push through. in time, phillip would be released from the hospital & then the show could go on as if nothing had ever happened. ❛ i’ll hate the goodbye, but i won’t forget the good times, ❜ phineas spoke softly, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. he’d grown FOND of everyone in the circus & nothing would ever change that. even after he hung up his ringmaster coat, they would all still be a FAMILY to him.
