Charl1e’s lair review. Apologies for messing up the pronoun on one of your dragons, I hadn’t realized you had some of that info in their bio! I made sure to look for the last one. c:
Why: Charl1e provided quick and considerate service for a very low price.
When: August 31 2015
Explain: I was looking for cutesy art for an oddly gened coatl I’ve had for a while, and came across a Pay What You Want thread run by Nature player Charl1e. Charl1e’s art is done in a cute and childish “crayon drawing” style, which I immediately took a shine to. I asked for art of my dragon with her familiar and gave a price offer, which was accepted immediately. I sent over my payment and waited. When I got my art (a very short time later) Charl1e apologized for having been unable to include my familiar due to it being difficult* and sent back a portion of my payment. I sent treasure and gems back as a tip, because honestly this sweetie deserves it. I fully recommend this player’s art, and plan on buying more in the future.
*(a poisonous toridae isn’t exactly the easiest thing to draw, so I completely understand not being able to include it)
An absolutely gorgeous nature lair stocked with almost 2 whole pages of earth tones. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Puff (#14949810): Why, would you look at this precious darling? I am absolutely smitten over her! Her frosted appearance blends beautifully with earth tones, and even her little birdy stands out proudly against her wings! What a wonderful snapper!
Anders (#13243951): Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous fluff! This mint chocolate fluffball is just ruining my heart (I’m jealous). I really wish the site owners would fix the clipping issues on tundra fur, but it doesn’t really detract from him at all! All in all, a handsome fella!
Seeker (#15172669) here has a partner, Finder, and it was definitely hard to choose between the two, but Seeker won me over. She’s certainly gotta be the hide and seek champion in the everbloom gardens whether she’s living up to her namesake or not!
Charlie (#12146065): Oh my goodness, look at this little tea leaf. I wonder how she shrunk that dove down to her size? I’ve never been one for freckle (haven’t even gotten the breeding achievement on it), but the way it blends with her wings is magnificent!
And finally, Quarria (#13271024)! It was a hard choice between her and another dragon in the lair, Raadi, because they are both so fabulous. This user seems to have a penchant for earth tones with softer belly colors, and this is one striking heed to that, having it extend beyond her belly and into her apparel; it certainly caught my eye!
i am thus far highly enjoying the important bird area

thank god for u having a 4 page lair, your dragons are all so fantastic and it wouldve been so much more difficult for me to have to choose between more than this. its already hard. help
starting out here with pebble, this brown theme in the first page is spot on, absolutely lovely, and i love it
that being said your clothing choices are also absolutely phenomenal
i really love brown nocs and color schemes like this, their faces are made to be used for fancy stoic characters like this! nocs just seem naturally upper-class types to me, especially the males
so the genes and colors and clothes on this guy, best.
and i love his personality as well, gosh he is just so darn adorable gussied up the way he is looking like an aristocrat but turns out he is just a nerdy librarian? i love it when people have fun with their dragons and their personalities like this! its incredibly genuine and all around the right way to go about it imo, it seems much more relatable
mocha looks so fierce for having such a starbucks-esque name i mean really there is hardly anything better than a well placed wolf pelt apparel and this one works out nicely
all of this dragon just screams at me, homeschooled kid gets lost in the woods and ends up getting raised by wolves and this is the result when they find him years later fully grown
the skin is perfect for him, his original colors still match his overall scheme rather well too, this is a simple combination of literally two things and its still darn impressive which is why i like it so much
and i just cant get over how much i love those popping golden yellow fire eyes that match those golden brown tones in the skin he is wearing
A+ 100% good dragon, if he had a bio that had some background on what made this snarling woodland badass have a somewhat ill-fitting name like mocha, that would complete him
anders makes me so happy because i feel like the combination of blues/greens and browns goes very under appreciated on this website and its a very very nice color combination
the touches of white you added here with his apparel make it even better, ESPECIALLY adding that extra layer of fuzz with the fluffy coat apparel he has!
this subtle form of jade really made me think it was a shade of blue at first, which surprised and impressed me once i checked this was jade! his clan role is also spot on
the only issue i have with him, which isint even your fault, is the combination of most wraps with any tundra
the foot wrap that just sits there and doesnt have the hair tucked into the wrap... idk its a little petty but why did they do that ... why
charlie is an adorable flower child i love her apparel and his colors and theres just so many things that impress me about this cute little fae
this accent that she has on is so wonderfully fitting!! the way it fades her freckle secondary out to the fringes of her wings and head makes him look like she has some sort of seafoam crackle in all the right places
it also has its own bright set of flecks coming off of the tips of the edges and i love it so much
her matching apparel to that bright ivory underbelly makes me swoon too, i have a huge thing for ivory personally and i have yet to see it combined with any hue of green until now and it is fantastic on this dragon
i can highly appreciate the details you put into her, the corsage apparel may be hard to spot but i managed to and it made me happy
perenth is so pretty
with this stunning combination of colors that make him look like that glowing fungus strain, he is just perfect and him being a skydancer i think kind of adds to that kind of scheme better than any other breed couldve , the matching familiar makes it all the better too obviously
i think giving him the full or at least partial set of that aqua flourish jewlery would work out stupendously for him
however i would probably reccomend a partial set because the gembond already does so much of the work on its own adding those little extra details would be imo the best route to go on when building off of him more!
he is a fantastic looking dragon, i bet he would have a really interesting bio if he got one
ember is pretty darn cool for a dragon named ember
i like the subtlety of her, usually fire themed dragons are much more explosive yet shes toned down a lot more, and true to her name glows around dark ash rather than burning brightly like a full blown flame
so it makes excellently perfect sense that she is a darker more mysterious character
the dark secondary and dark clothing choices work for this immensely, and the fact that her reddish orange tone is not bright and blinding in the slightest is absolutely perfect, choosing bar and daub for this dragon was a smart choice considering that too, adding dark irregularities to her scheme, helps complete her look as an ember, being ember
heavyhide is a marvel to look at, i mean on his own he seems to be a nice looking fellow of course, from what i imagine he looks like underneath that glorious skin but...
this skin is glorious
its darn mesmerizing and its hard to tell whether ts meant to be a lightning type skin or a water skin unless you check and either way it doesnt matter its pretty nice to look at regardless of everything
this to me almost makes his eyes look like their glowing
it also looks like his colors underneath more or less match the skin and i highly appreciate that as ive said
quarria is so so so amazing i just love this somewhat predominant nature theme in your lair so much! i seriously dig this brown and white theme going on with her and her apparel and underbelly, it adds a nice break in the dark gradient-like scheme of her coloration! the placement of the moonscale armor adds on to that perfectly
and that accent can i just say wow oh my god holy poop
i mean, with that chocolate shimmer perfectly matching the branches in the tree where the owls are?? i am mindblown
she just lifts up her winds to reveal a mini forest hiding there?? its a seamless transition of view and i can not express how amazing that right there is
her familiar matches her perfectly
and her chocolate brown earth eyes also please me greatly
oh my gosh flourish
how can you make brown ripple look so good
this guy is amazing, i enjoy him alot and at first i thought he was wearing a ton more pink apparel but turns out theres only two little addendums
he is nevertheless gosh darn adorable
the gembond looks pretty good on him and i like the depth of his colors which change shade a lot throughout his scheme, it works out for him rather well!
i also love the addition of the seraph secondary, i love that factor of seraph that adds on an extra color that happens to work perfect with this scheme
its like a free smack of maize in the middle of him and its really great!!
missie is so adorable
the combination of tiger and stripes is a nice one for her! i enjoy the way it matches the overall scheme of things, plus i absolutely love the apparel choices for her
the eyes being right next to those leaves is a stunning matchup
plus the leaves and their textures match that down on feathers on her chest and the effect is so amazing, that really works out well
the brightness of the feathers on her head almost seem too out of place but not enough for my taste
it matches the branches of the tree apparel nicely and add this brightness to her head that i really enjoy!!!
