Breathtaking image of actress Katy Dierlam by photographer Charles Gatewood (1942-2016). A.D. Coleman wrote in the New York Times that "Gatewood's work is freakish, earthy, blunt, erotic, (and) most of all, terribly and beautifully alive,” while his NYT obituary described him as a “photographer of extremes.” He took this majestic photo in 1991 at his farm in Woodstock, New York with his beautiful subject reclined on an outcropping of rock on wood’s edge, only adding to its grandeur. This book, just one of several by Gatewood, was published in 1993.
