#502 Take Out

Sean Baker is an independent filmmaker who likes to make films out of the lives of people you don't normally think about. Here is a film about a take out delivery worker. And in his next film he made a really good film, "The Prince of Broadway" about the person you meet selling those fake designer bags. Here we go through one day of a person's life as he goes through the mundane routine of going to doorstep by doorstep all for the goal of paying off his debts. The films looks true if not microbudget and really delves into deep emotion. Baker takes us into this world with his cinema vertie style. And being a person who has gone to a lot of these NYC take out restaurants, the customer interactions feel especially true.
