I actually knit the star and rainbow as separate pieces and sewed them on by hand! I used this pattern for the star and made up the rainbow myself using short rows

yeah it was frigid in december but that was cause we were being cheapasses who wouldn’t turn the heater on (we gave up when the inside temperature was around 40) once we gave up on that my room held heat better than the rest of the house

Nope, sorry! I was really tired the first day after getting like two hours of sleep, plus the travelling and queueing to get in, so I spent most of thursday evening with my sister walking around and just learning how to navigate the campus (never been to NärCon before). Around the time the meet-up was I’m preeetty sure we were sitting in the corridor outside one of the karaoke rooms resting our legs.

I didn’t attend any other Doctor Who events either, partly because I was with friends who aren’t into it and partly because I’m just bad with new people, but I’ve also felt pretty disconnected from the fandom lately (plus I’m an old crotchety classic Whovian who kept muttering to myself how there’d only be Newvians there anyway lmao).
