The Electric Grandmother is a television movie that originally aired January 17, 1982, on NBC as a 60-minute Project Peacock special, based on the science fiction short story "I Sing the Body Electric" by Ray Bradbury. It stars Maureen Stapleton and Edward Herrmann and was directed by Noel Black. These days, Star City was quiet at night, a suspicious silence that left even the most hardened of residents uncomfortable. The city had never been quite so divided before, and they were all waiting with baited breath for the fallout. John--who had convinced Oliver to let him do the patrol to let their fearless leader catch up on the sleep he’d been depriving himself of--was getting nervous waiting for just such a moment. Nerves were bad in this business. They made you sloppy, made you slip up.

But, as John rounded a corner and found himself mere paces away from a girl with a bow and arrow, he thought that maybe he had a right to be a little worried.

“Hey,” He called out to the lone figure, standing out against the dark rooftops behind her. “You shouldn’t be out here this late at night. The city isn’t safe anymore.” He warned, taking several cautious steps forward.

Charlie had been hanging garlands around the store, putting up little decorations since Alan was busy trying to keep up with the demands of customers. He would’ve helped his boss but he knew next to nothing about how to make a potion. With the last garland hooked up, he got down from the ladder and started to grab some of the ornaments to hang on the tree in the window. Hearing the bells ringing on the door, he looked over and smiled to them. “Hi! Welcome to Bakar’s! What can help you with?”
