Mistletoe Kisses (W/ Lucifer, Charlie, Abel)
Summary: Short, tooth-rottingly sweet scenarios where you share a kiss under the mistletoe with a few Hazbin Hotel characters.
Contents/Possible Warnings: Fluff, LOTS of fluff, lots of kisses
Lucifer
Christmas was rarely celebrated in Hell, especially amongst its sinner population, many of the dead deciding to forego the holy holiday given the circumstances, but Charlie was not the average denizen of Hell. Although it seemed ironic for a demon princess to be celebrating Christmas, that didn't stop her one bit, and you soon found yourself at the Hazbin Hotel's first, and hopefully not last, Christmas party. You had to admit, she really did do well. Especially with the amount of mistletoe hanging around all of you.
"Do you think she put all these hoping she'd be able to kiss Vaggie?" You questioned Lucifer, moving through the crowd with him over towards the snack table, your eyes set on a particularly impressive tray of tree-shaped cookies. "I think that's sweet of her if she did." You grinned.
"Who's that again?" Lucifer replied, a confused look on his face as he followed you, the king of Hell never one to remember names, even if they belonged to his daughter's girlfriend. You let out a small chuckle at his question, finally reaching the table.
"We really need to get you better acquainted with everyone, Luci." You told him, picking up a cookie. "I know you don't like sinners that much, but—" You paused, eyes drifting over to Charlie, the widest smile you had ever seen on her face, staring directly at you and her father from across the room. Your gaze followed hers upwards to a mistletoe hanging from the ceiling above you, in all of its spiky, green-and-red glory. Oh. That's why she had so many put up.
"Well, I guess Charlie did have a plan," Lucifer began, lips curling upwards in a pleasantly surprised smirk as he too looked up. "It just wasn't the plan you thought it was, my love." His eyes moved back down to look into yours, stepping closer. "You know, I can't say I'm unhappy with it."
You blushed in response. Of course, you and Lucifer had kissed time and time again, and even gone beyond that more times than you could ever count, but having it come as such a surprise in front of the whole hotel made you flustered for some odd reason. You agreed with him, though, you couldn't say you were unhappy.
You leaned forward, giving him a sweet kiss he joyfully returned, your face growing redder with every passing second. You soon separated, Lucifer letting out a laugh once his eyes opened and saw your blush. "You're redder than the ribbon on the mistletoe!" He exclaimed, chuckling. "You tasted like vanilla frosting, too. You know what? I think I like this holiday."
You blushed even harder, burying your face into his coat in an attempt to hide. It was nice, but maybe you had one way too many mistletoe kisses for the day.
Charlie
One thing many people may not have known about Charlie was that she absolutely adored holidays and celebrating them. Halloween? You're wearing a matching couple's costume and decorating the hotel from floor to ceiling with plastic spiders and fake, cotton webbing. Valentine's Day? She's making you homemade chocolates, and your shared bedroom now has several pink and red, heart-shaped decorations in it that seem to have appeared overnight. It was safe to say that Christmas had always been no exception to that same standard, especially now that her hotel was getting guests.
"Cookie mix, tinsel, Christmas trees, star toppers..." she murmured to herself, eyes focused on a clipboard in her hands, reading off her checklist of supplies as the decorating was nearing its end after nearly a whole week of you two working non-stop. "Oh! We never put up the mistletoe!" She exclaimed suddenly, setting her list down before moving around the lobby to open boxes, looking for the one that had the needed decoration. You let out a yawn as you watched her, tired from working throughout the day to get things set up, having woken up in the early morning and going until now, which was almost midnight.
"Charlie, honey, can't we put them up tomorrow?" You yawned again, stepping closer. "We've been getting things ready all day. There's green in my hair, and I'm pretty sure it's cookie frosting. I'm ready to go to bed." She looked back at you with a triumphant grin, holding up the box of mistletoe.
"Come on! We have to hang up at least one!" She smiled, moving around the hotel eagerly, deciding where to put this particular mistletoe. You followed her down the halls sluggishly, eyes struggling to stay open as she seemed to know exactly where she was going. You both stopped outside the door to your room, Charlie quickly pinning the mistletoe to your doorway. "Charlie, wha—" you blinked in confusion, tired mind processing what had just occurred mere inches from you.
"I thought we could give each other more kisses this way," she said, giving you a small smile, one that made you melt at the sight. "We haven't really done mistletoe in the past, I thought it'd be something we'd both like." She looked at you expectantly, standing underneath the tiny plant, a light blush on her face.
You stepped forward, pressing your lips to hers, savouring the soft feeling and the sweet taste of the peppermint chocolate she had earlier that day in between decorating. It filled you with a warmth like no other, the type you'd only ever get during these small moments. You loved her more than anything in the whole of Hell, and you could see as you two separated that she felt the same.
"You taste like gingerbread from the cookies earlier," she laughed, "and you really do have frosting in your hair. Come on let's go shower and head to bed."
Abel
Abel had always loved everything about Christmas; everything from the music and movies to the decorations filled him with a joy like no other. However, his favorite thing was involving you in his holiday cheer, making sure to involve you in every single Christmas tradition he could. Starting December 1st, every single day of the month was filled to the brim with decorating, baking, and Christmas movies (especially his favorite one, which involved a wonderful story about a young woman falling in love with Santa Claus); there was no end to the amount of stuff you two would do together. As much fun as it was to do so much, eventually, you two would need to take a break and sit down after a long day of so many activities.
The end of your day before you two went to bed ended with you two cuddling on the couch in front of the fireplace, enjoying each other's company, and talking about anything that crossed your minds. They were moments you wouldn't trade for the world. You snuggled up to Abel, resting your head on his chest as he rambled on excitedly about a present he was planning to get his father, occasionally adding your input to the conversation. With a yawn, you were just about to close your eyes when your eyes drifted upwards to the ceiling, spying a mistletoe hanging above you both; something you must've forgotten you put up there.
"Abel," you murmured, catching his attention as he paused from his talking.
"Hmm?" He smiled down at you.
"I forgot I hung the mistletoe above us, honey." You spoke, returning his smile. You watched as his gaze drifted upwards, looking up at the aforementioned mistletoe, golden eyes lighting up with glee at the realization. He leaned in, kissing you in excitement, hands coming up to cradle your face as his lips moved against yours. He separated from the kiss, lips moving to now press a flurry of light kisses to your face. You laughed at the sensation, "Abel! That Tickles!" You giggled out.
"I have to give you kisses as long as we're under the mistletoe, sweetheart!" He grinned, continuing his love attack. God, he was adorable.
I love Charlie Morningstar. I love that she's pushy. I love that she uses therapy speak constantly while having no idea how to handle her problems let alone other people. I love that she loves people but takes them for granted. I love that she uses the Hotel to try to feel fulfilled. I love that she doesn't listen to other people when she's got an idea in her head. I love that she never backs down even when it's someone she loves asking her to. I love that she sucks at taking criticism. I love that she's terrible at opening up. I love that she's holier-than-thou. I love that she clearly views the Hotel guests as her projects to fix. I love that she always assumes Vaggi will agree with her. I love that she cannot let something go when it's done by someone she dislikes. I love that she tunnel-visions on one problem at the expense of all the others around her.
I love Charlie Morningstar
