1. Can’t Go Home Again by Mable. This is a MikexMarionette fic which….I honestly read as it was being updated. And it’s a slow, SLOW burn. So by the time romance even sort of became a thing I was like ‘??? Hell, I’ll try anything once.’ This version of Mike and Mari has got to be my favorite out of the knight guard universe. I don’t ship them in MY story, but in this version? The romance is much more a deep emotional friendship and the two are so close and protective of one another and it’s written SO well. Foxy is also an insanely awesome character in this, too. There’s plenty of interesting arcs. This whooper of a fic is sooo amazing. It’s pretty long, and has a in-progress sequel.
2. Upon Daybreak by LadyGodessofAnubis. A long fic with sequels! The world building is spot on and the author uses all the characters super well. This does have some mention of child abuse/molestation in the later stories(?) but if I recall every chapter has proper warning ahead of time. I don’t remember anything graphic, but be aware this is more mature in themes. Mike and the gang are written very well, and have a slow build relationship that I wish I had done better in Devil’s Spine. In the Daybreak series, you believe the characters and their responses, and that’s one of the reasons I love it and the fic…just, stuck with me.
3. My New Best Friend is a Murderer by Midna3452. a Springtrap/FNAF3 fanfic! Spring is Afton in this one, one that’s personality is actually a bit….salvageable, let’s just say. The night guard is an oc, and honestly a really cute guy. It’s older, (2017) so lots of lore has been released since then but this is my favorite FNaF3 fic. It’s one of the few(only?) where I feel, even a tiny bit, for Afton. (Which is a fucking accomplishment. I love to hate him as a villain far too much.)
Unfinished/Likely Abandoned:(I’m weird about reccing fics I know are abandoned wips. So if I DO recommend them, it’s because they’re THAT good. And I apologize in advance because these fics are. Amazing.)
