I am grateful and marveling at the wonderful people surrounding me. Those who are present, authentic, strong, give sage advice, keep it real with me and always want the best for me. They create space to listen, welcome me in and do not judge me. They may drop everything to take me out for games and chocolate or leave me a long message if they live far away. Their actions and words encourage me to grow when going through hard or sad times rather than to allow despair to set in. In a culture fixated on "happiness", these people get that it's actually about finding meaning.
