it’s actually funny how only 2 out of the 6 main cast members are american in a show about the american military :D but yes, jessica’s accent is so cute!! you should definitely watch some cast interviews :’)i'm definitely doing that! 

i've already added few thing to my to watch list. do you have any recommendations of good interviews?

Haha :D She is definitely an amazing author, I mean to create a text like this and it’s never boring and so captivating?? But of course some people don’t like the book and do find it boring lol I was recommending it a lot when I still worked at the bookstore. I also really enjoyed Leere Herzen. I still haven’t read one of her older books though. Oh, I still have to read Altes Land!

Cool! I saw that her other books weren’t rated quite as well on Goodreads but I’m happy to know they’re still really good.

I can definitely understand that it’s not everybody’s cup of tea. if slow-paced books aren’t your thing and you need a lot of action, development, and twists to keep you engaged, it definitely isn’t the right book and will definitely be boring. but if you’re in it for the characters or to get really immersed into the book’s world, this is a gold mine. I feel like this is either a love it or hate it book

is it Unterleuten by chance? ;D when I read the first paragraph I was like wait a second! but yes SAME! I enjoyed that book so much even though it’s so long and nothing really happens and so many characters are unlikable but just wow??? anyway I really like reading Juli Zeh :)

the atmosphere kind of reminds me of Altes Land which was one of my fave books I read last year but much more intense and with much more developed characters. Altes Land feels soft and gentle and like a comforting blanket in comparison, but they’re both character-focused and all about village-life

it’s the first book of hers I’ve read but I’m going into town on Friday and you can bet I will leave the bookstore with a couple of her books

I saw that on your IG story the other day and wrote it down! I’m trying not to order because of the mentioned 16 books but if I do run out (or let’s be real get below 10 unread) I’ll def use that :D

it's one of the most profound books I've ever read, but also really emotionally draining and has some hard topics. I can't imagine talking about it ina book club though, but I'd defintiely recommend reading it, it changed me and it's just amazing

i honestly don't know how i'll discuss it in a book club. i mean even starting with the fact that it's about gay guys and i have to watch my step there already and all other stuff, that i can feel, will be too emotional for me

We’ll only be about an hour’s train from one another, right? so we should manage to set up something at some point.

I don’t think it’ll be until March though. I have my flat as of February and I think I’ll be busy setting up my flat during that time. But as of March will probably be good :D
