Hi! Do you have any files from CharmedSims2? I used to love that site 😂

Hello anon! :-D the graveyard has a charmedsims folder here with some stuff, but I found this reddit post (mediafire link: 1, 2) where someone kindly re-uploaded stuff from charmedsims2! I mirrored these files to sfs here (in two zip files, instead of 67 separate files) for convenience.

According to one comment on the reddit post, the address was "charmed-sims.jimdo" but I think it might have been "http://charmedsims.eclectic-sims.com/" and then later changed to only "eclectic-sims" (according to wayback anyway). The website (charmedsims.eclectic-sims.com) has been saved via wayback back in 2010, if you'd like to take a look! I skimmed through it quick and the pages I clicked on all worked, but when I tried to download anything it said "job failed".

I'll tag this as partially found, so if anyone seeing this have anything from charmedsims2, please do re-upload! :-D

The inspiration for it ultimately began with the google doodle for landscape designer Gertrude Jekyll, I didn’t know about her before that - but after that, fell into a research pit of english gardens and knew I wanted to build something in line with those sensibilities. These two images were/are particularly inspiring:

As far as the house, it’s still very much a wip/i cant decide exactly what i want for it yet - but, I’ve definitely taken some inspiration from Georgian Palladian revival architecture. :) 

I also collect images on my pinterest that I take inspiration from :))

It was a nice dinner at one of our favorite Italian places. :)

I am keeping it up and I am kicking its butt. I woke up this morning to someone being very angry with me, and they had a point, but I didn’t go into a toxic shame spiral. I didn’t know there was such a thing as healthy guilt, but apparently there is and I managed to feel it? Like I could see where I had made mistakes and I had done things wrong, but that it didn’t mean that I was a horrible person? And I could also see how their anger was valid while not internalizing it and not hating myself?

If you know me well, you know that is an extremely giant step forward. :)

thursday evening / 6:30pm {chapter 10 - part 4}

the sun was setting and Leila had already made her way home. Emery stuck around just as Luna had asked of her earlier. they face each other at the edge of the street, standing by the town view. 

“don’t fret, Em. you look like a nervous wreck right now,” Luna laughs. Emery plays it off and tries her best to form a smile across her face. “it’s not like i’m leaving for good. i’m just going back to school, you know?” Emery nods. 

“of course. and i’m so happy for you! i really am. it’s just, i don’t know! i’m just gonna miss you.” Emery looks down at the ground while Luna smiles at her sweetly, thinking how pure of a gem Emery is, and how she too will miss her just as much. she’s done a lot for her, in the short time they’ve known each other, and Luna will never, ever forget that. 

“hey, this isn’t a goodbye, you know that, right? i mean, well. i guess it is, but not entirely. i just wanted to tell you that i’m always a phone call away. heck, if you want me to drive down to Windenburg for you, i will. and of course i’ll be at the shop time from time to check on it when i can. you’ve become a great friend to me, Em. there are not enough words to describe how thankful i am that you pranced into my life like this, and i intend to keep you around. so smile! we’ll be in touch, okay?” 

Luna leans in for a hug, and they embrace each other tightly. Emery exhales softly and smiles to herself, feeling just as thankful for Luna. 

sometimes people come into our lives when we least expect it. oftentimes, it’s during the times we need someone the most. that is what these two had done for each other. with Luna on the whim of losing just about everything to Emery feeling lost and alone, needing some guidance. their presence reminded them both that no matter what, they’ll be okay.
