Non Canon gay couples that I think should be together
This is going be a list of characters who I think should have been a been a gay couple or people that I think have great chemistry.
Cogsworth & Lumiere (Beauty & the Beast)
These two spend the whole movie together, they act so much like a couple and it is sad that they weren’t a couple. They banter, they argue and even make up like a couple. Lumiere is a fun get loose type guy and Cogsworth is uptight and a stickler for the rules. So I think that both gentlemen’s personalities balance each other out. Ugh I will just pretend they are a couple. Not Lefou. Lumiere to me is bi and Cogsworth is gay.
Pleakley & Jumba (Lilo & Stitch)
Okay how can they not be a couple? They basically argue like a couple, they are referred to Uncle Jumba and Aunt Pleakley. If Pleakely was actually a female and had the same adventures with Jumba then these two would all ready be a couple. However since this is two guys apparently they can’t be a couple because children but as you can see in this pic Pleakely is a cross dresser. Ugh they are so close to being a couple that they should just be a couple.
Many of you may not know what Backstage well it is a show about kids who go to a liberal arts school, where people dance, sing and act. Now that you have a brief background on the show let’s talk about the ships! All the hetroships on Backstage are terrible with a few acceptions here and there. To me Jiles has by far the best chemistry and they had a great bond. Miles has a kidney condition and when he faint he calls Jax’s name but not Alya you know the girl he likes? I also adore the way that Miles and Jax are there for each other. The way Miles puts an arm around Jax when Jax is crying while because Jenna broke up with him, then again when Jax is having a face off with Kit about who is a better DJ. Of all the couples on the canon couples on the show this couple despite being non canon have really great chemistry. :)
I might be in the minority here but I ship this more than Captain Swan. In my opinion these two had better chemistry than CS. I love their adventures together, and David’s line about “What Emma you think I am into Hook, I am a married man” (Something along those lines) Also on the topic of these two being gay every non canon queer couple had far better chemistry than all the canon straight couples. Ugh I am bitter.
Sirius and Remus (Harry Potter)
First off Remus Lupin is supposed to be a metaphor for a gay man with HIV/Aids. So why he was put in a straight relationship I have no idea. To me Sirius and Remus would make a great couple because they have been friends since childhood, they have seen the best and worst of each other and have been through a lot together. I also have a head canon that and I think most of us do that Sirius and Remus would raise Harry like a son and show him tricks they pulled and tell him stories about his parents. They could have been a great couple but of course JK Rowling won’t give any real respectful rep for gay characters and said Dumbledore was gay for brownie points. So I guess I will just headcanon them as gay.
Well this about sums up my list! Let me guys know your thoughts and who your non canon gay couples should be. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this list.
