an interesting thing a mutual friend and a great astrologer told me was how she never overcharges for chart readings because astrology is a tool, and a lot of people who need answers or guidance right now are people who don’t necessary have the deepest pockets, especially if they’re not a private client, or you know they’ve been saving up the money and coming to you one time to ask something important, i think this field produces a lot of charlatans and a lot of grifters but being fair and not overcharging is a huge part of respectability, how can you possibly charge the working class 300-500$ for a reading, absurd and ridiculous but there’s so many listings out there that are not accessible to customers and this completely applies to adjacent fields such as tarot as well, don’t take advantage if you’re in the position to adjust your prices to suit people’s needs and budget
