Head canons in no particular order:

Chase had a Kpop phase

Wave is lactose intolerant

Chase has tried to sneak his number to Buddy before recently after the Cinderella book flooding incident. Buddy never correlated the number with anything and assumed Chase was just giving him some sort of code. He and Violet could not figure out what the number was for and just ended up throwing it in a lost and found box.

Deacon is demiromantic

If Bronze really wanted to he could upstage Violets outfits but he doesn't feel like competing

Prunella originally was in a club equivalent to girl scouts but quit because she was feeling left out by the other girls and wasn’t a fan of all of the activities

Deacon wanted to help with a theatrical production as a techie but his fear of stage fright and pretty girls stopped him from even applying or fully considering it

Buddy is a pescatarian

Silver wants to try needle felting after she finishes her knitting projects

Wave went to school for marine biology but considered becoming a science teacher at some point

Chase still says “poggers” and uses brainrot terms 24/7. unfortunately Buddy thinks these words are normal.

Deacon is obsessed with mythology

Buddy has hid Chases body pillow after becoming a human and refuses to say where it disappeared to. Only Violet and Bronze know where he put it but they wont tell Chase either for very different reasons.

Deacon writes self insert fan fics

Prunella once picked up a wild goose and almost gave Chase a heart attack. Goldie was very proud

Watching jellyfish have the same effect on the keys and Buddy that the lavalamp does

Chase has ADHD while Buddy is Autistic. Neither of them are diagnosed though.

Goldie likes to sit on the chickens backs and ride them as if they were horses

Wave was entering books before Buddy knew that Prunella was a kid and not a cat.

Buddy would get jealous if his siblings tried to sit on Chases shoulders or head.

Violet likes to paint herself with nail polish every once in a while but then will demand for nail polish remover a few hours after applying the nail polish on.

Deacon once wanted to dye his hair. His parents immediately shot that down.

Wave has thought over actually trusting Chase and Deacon and telling them his location (which I believe he knows as he probably was the one to hang up those posters) but believes they are incompetent and wont be able to do anything considering his situation.

Bronze will bring Terrence into conversations as if Terrence was a real chicken. This bothers Deacon. Deacons facial expressions in response to this is what motivates Bronze to continue.

Buddy hates water and rain from the memories it holds when he lived on the streets

Chase at one point in his early childhood wanted to be an astronaut and a danseur (Male ballet dancer)

Wave is Bi

Before the boy band thing Simon tried to convince Chase to start a garage band with him. Chase convinced him otherwise.

Buddy wishes Violet would call him Buddy too but is to anxious to ask as she specifically picked the name Nox for him

Wave and Deacon surprisingly become good friends after everything occurs but Deacon does stop talking to Wave for 2 weeks tops because of what Wave did.

Prunella wants a pet chipmunk. She saw someone have a pet chipmunk while watching videos with Silver and Goldie on Deacons phone. (Bronze was asleep) Her mother says the chipmunks are the fairies friends and cant be pets though.

If Ro went to Chases room he would fall for Alistair helping Chase loose interest in him.

After living with the Hollows Buddy's favorite place to nap is on top of Chases head in his wavy hair.

Prunella reminds Wave of his little sister, and he feels bad for manipulating her but his family will always come first

🏠 house is grumpy and the ducklings find it highly amusing, especially because they know he can go soft for them just like wilson

🩺 like he’ll sit on the couch reluctantly playing patient for them and cameron will snuggle in his side

🐣 and he’ll just roll his eyes and put his arm around her. foreman and chase don’t get the same treatment as often because they are much more interested in teasing him

🏠 wilson is in charge of food. house cannot be trusted to make anything than isn’t, like, eggs. or sandwiches. not because it’s a fire hazard or anything—he’s a grown man, he can cook—it’s just that the ducklings refuse to eat chicken that somehow tastes like rubber

🩺 cameron is the youngest and the boys are protective of her, but in a ‘no one can be mean to her but us’ sort of way

🐣 the ducklings and hilson have a scheduled time for regression/caregiving once a week. this is so nothing accidentally occurs during work hours, but it can’t be more than once a week due to the fact that they have busy jobs and personal lives outside of each other

🏠 wilson gives chase piggy back rides but can only manage for a few minutes because of his “old man back” (as chase complains)

🩺 foreman is the oldest, landing at around ten most days, but can go younger. most of the time he wants to be in an armchair reading a storybook rather than playing with cameron and chase

🐣 cameron and chase absolutely love dress up and try to drag everyone else into it. on these such occasions, you can often find house grumbling with a plastic tiara stuck in his hair, wilson in a tutu much too small for him, and foreman getting his fingernails painted (willingly as long as he is not disturbed in his reading.)

Chase tried learning how to skateboard in middle school because one of his crushes knew how, busted his ass, never tried it again. Change my mind.

Story Food Headcanons

You can't get full. This is also why Chase and Deacon bring snacks into stories, because even if they devoured the whole entirety of a ball’s snack bar, they don’t seem to feel full afterward.

This is a fact Buddy learned a little early on in the books. When he first came as the villainess he eyed the fruit bowls as if they were a gift from heaven. Quickly, he took a bite into each of them, trying to satiate the clawing feeling of starvation in his stomach. He gobbled up fruit after fruit, bite after bite.

But his hunger didn’t seem to abate.

He was starving.

And he was stuck.

He wants to eat.

This is coming up with my friend elsewhere, but I almost forgot to mention, Chase is a chronic fainter. When situations get to be too stressful for him to handle, he ragdolls to the ground.

Chase has definitely looked for lesbian enemies to lovers books at a library a town over just to see if buddy would come with him into the book(it took at least three tries before buddy entered the book)
