Happy Pride Month Babes! I did not do time accurate research and used information from the 2025 website.
Chase is informed of a June festival, he wants to go, and Go reluctantly agrees.

“Go.”
Go raised an eyebrow, he knew that voice. He placed the strap of his camera around his neck and then jumped up and caught himself up on the concrete divider. Chase was standing on the other side, looking up at him. He swung his legs over and jumped down in front of him, standing straight with a grin.
“Hi, baby.”
Chase stepped forward, smoothly his arm slid through the area between his arm and waist, then he curved his arm. Go chuckled as he was tugged closer by his waist, tilting his head slightly to the side to eye his partner.
“I have a request.”
“Mhm?”
The roidmude gave him a squeeze, and Go responded by wrapping his arms around the man’s neck. “How may I make your cybernetic dreams come true today?” He rephrased, sounding as dramatic as he could. Chase just rolled his eyes at him, glancing away before he looked back at him.
“There is a festival I wish to attend with you, Kiriko told me about it.”
“A festival?” Go stared off as he tried to remember what festivals would be happening in the next few weeks. He usually knew about most of them, in case there was anything worth photographing in the area. What month was it again?
“It is June fifth.”
Oh he asked out loud. Go hummed and looked back at him. Well then the answer was obvious. “Really?” They had been together for a while now, over two years. And while Go had gotten better about being true to himself, even that was a big ask. And Chase knew it, too.
“I would like to experience it, yes. We don’t have to do the parade, but I’d like to see the festival.” Chase had one secret weapon that he knew would work, but he watched Go’s face first to see what his reaction was. The man inhaled, then exhaled, then pouted at Chase.
Chase enlisted the help of said secret weapon.
He pouted back at Go.
“Don’t.” Go let go of him to cover the roidmude’s face with his scarf. “Don’t give me that look, you know I can’t say no!” Chase lifted his head from the scarf, continuing to pout at his boyfriend. It really was effective. “Fine!” Go groaned, letting his head fall forward and land against Chase’s shoulder.
Chase stopped pouting, he wrapped both arms around Go this time, holding him close. Go made a sound akin to a ‘bweh’ and Chase hummed, patting his back. “There there, you’ll live.” He teased him, then he did what Go always did to him, wiggled him side to side. The action made Go laugh, pulling away from him.
“It’s on the seventh, at eleven.”
“Fine but I’m not dressing up.”
“People dress up?”
Go blinked. “It’s a festival, babe.”
“Hm.. Should I dress up?”
Go thought about it, then shrugged. “If you want to.” Even if Go himself was hesitant to share parts of him with the world, he’d never stop Chase. It took surprisingly few arguments for him to realise his shame in himself only showed Chase there was something to be ashamed of. And he didn’t want that, not really.
“I’ll let you resume your work,” Chase released him and took a step away, but Go quickly grabbed him, dragging him back by his jacket. “Hm?” He tilted his head at his lover, who released his jacket and held his face.
His kiss was warm and sweet, so were his hands on Chase’s face. The roidmude melted into his touch, he always did. He kissed Go back, bringing one hand up to rest on his wrist. Though the kiss was short lived, it didn’t stop the slight lift of his lips upwards.
“Get home safely, and text me.”
Chase nodded. “Of course. I will see you for dinner.”
Go released the man’s face, hands dropping to his sides again as he watched Chase walk away towards his motorcycle. Sure, he wasn’t sure about being so blatant, but if it made Chase happy, Go couldn’t really say no to that. He pulled his camera from around his neck, heading back to his work.
“Chase! Didn’t you want to get there for when it starts? We’re gonna be late!” Go called from the living room, sitting on his desk chair. Being ready for him was jeans and a shirt, his jacket in his lap for when they head out. He had no idea why Chase was taking so long, the man wore the same outfit most days of the week.
Chase exited the hallway, entering the room. “Finally-” Go paused, squinting. He was still wearing his usual clothing, except his jacket was unzipped. He really spent thirty minutes just to unzip his jacket?
The roidmude could read his confusion, to which he slightly pulled the jacket to the side, revealing a small rainbow heart on the chest area. “See?” Go snorted and stood up, pulling his own jacket on.
“Your jacket covers it.”
“It is the thought that counts.”
Go shook his head and grabbed his camera off of the desk. “It’s cute, baby, I like it.” When he looked back up at Chase, the roidmude seemed pleased with the praise. Go couldn’t help himself, sauntering up and pressing a dramatic kiss to his forehead. Chase quickly waved him off, even if his cheeks had the slightest bit of pink to them.
“Are we taking separate bikes or do you want to ride with me?”
“I have borrowed Kiriko’s car. In case we get things.”
“You’re already planning to get trinkets?” Chase nodded in confirmation. “Alright then.” Go wasn’t actually that surprised, Chase loved trinkets. The act of owning things made him happy. The man sort of understood, in a way being able to have things could be seen as something human.
“Parking is going to be awful.”
Chase shrugged, locking the door of their apartment. “We’ll be fine.” The two men made their way down the apartment stairs, heading to the car parked in the tenant lot. Go took the lens cover off his camera, taking a quick candid of Chase unlocking the car. He really was so pretty.
As Go predicted, getting to the event was fine, but finding parking was a bitch. He leaned on his arm against the window, watching Chase silently curse random drivers for cutting him off. “I wish to request a review of their license, this is ridiculous.” Go snorted at his comment, shaking his head slightly.
But they found parking eventually, a few blocks away but it wasn’t that bad. Chase locked the car, pocketing the keys. While Go supported his camera around his neck in one hand, he quickly took Chase’s hand in his other. The roidmude interlaced their fingers, all but dragging Go in the direction of the festival.
It was busy, really busy. Even this early. Go stuck close to the man at his side, keeping his head down. Chase could tell he was anxious, squeezing his hand reassuringly. “Would you like to start with coffee? There were a few coffee places on the pamphlet..” Chase pulled his phone out to check again.
“Coffee sounds good.” Go spoke quieter than he intended, he didn’t really have much issue with crowds, he loved them. But with his own internal problems, he became quickly anxiety riddled. Chase pocketed his phone again, having memorised the map this time. He was on a mission, and he was going to drag Go along.
At least there was that. Chase was unabashed and unashamed. It was something solid for Go to hold onto. It was no time at all before Go was holding a sweet iced coffee, the paper straw rainbow. It was cute, he could admit that. Chase had his own, though his coffee was black. Go had no idea if he got that from Koichi Kano or if he just liked it that way.
“Does that help?” Chase questioned, playing with his lover’s fingers as he investigated his expression. Go took a sip of his coffee, nodding at him. “That’s good. It will never fail to surprise me that a drink designed to increase your heart rate calms you down.”
“ADHD.”
“That is not a normal reply.” Chase hid his own smile by sipping his coffee however, looking around at all the people. It was loud and busy and there were so many people, but it was nice to see so many different types of people. He looked back at Go who also seemed to be eyeing the area.
“I should get some photos, I brought business cards.”
Chase frowned, eyebrows furrowing. “You’re really taking the opportunity to expand your business during our romantic outing?”
“Yep!” Go grinned at him, tugging him closer by the hand. “My business pays your tuition, baby.” He kissed Chase’s nose. The roidmude sighed, he couldn’t argue, not that he actually minded all that much. He had years to get used to Go’s passion for photography. The man brought his camera on actual dates.
“Fine, booth time.”
Now no longer restrained by looking for caffeine, Chase was able to appreciate the booths set up in the park. His grip remained tight on Go’s hand, not wanting to lose him in the crowd of people. Quite a few of the booths were businesses, but some had little branded flags, pins or stickers.
Go shook his head as he watched his lover collect everything he could. He even brought a backpack for this specifically. Go brought his straw to his lips again, looking around while Chase listened to the third business spiel in a row. He’d grown too polite, in Go’s opinion. But it was amusing seeing him try to find an out.
Someone caught his eye and he called out to Chase; “stay there! I’ll be right back.” He dipped into the crowd, following the woman with bright hair and a colourful outfit. “Excuse me,” he stopped her, catching her attention. “Do you mind if I get a photo? I’m a photographer.” He pulled a business card from his jacket, handing it over to her.
She giggled as she took it, looking at the information printed she then gave him a nod. “Great, thanks!” Go took the lens cover off his camera and looked around before taking a few steps back. He leaned backwards slightly, lowering his camera to his eye, he took a few photos of the woman. He then quickly glanced at the photos he took.
“Thanks again! You look great.”
“Thank you, darling! Have a great day~”
Go nodded, then watched her walk off, disappearing into the crowd. He covered his camera lens as he returned to where he had left Chase. He furrowed his brows when he got to the booth and saw the man missing. “Did he not hear me?” Go turned, trying to spot his signature purple jacket within the crowd.
“Go.” The man in question jumped, turning and giving Chase a displeased look. “Apologies. Look what I found.” Chase held his hands up, turned them over, and then opened his fists. In each palm was a small pin. One was the bisexual flag while the other was the pansexual flag.
The bisexual one was more subtle, circular and with overlapping mountains, a landscape pride pin. The pansexual one was smaller, but it was shaped like a pixelated heart. Chase seemed very pleased with his find.
“They’re us.”
Go softened, taking the bisexual one from his palm. “Yeah, they are us. Put it on me?” He held it back out and Chase nodded, securing his in his pocket for the time being. He stepped forward as he took the pin, he then took the backing off. Chase took the lapel of Go’s jacket and held it forward, affixing the pin to it so it could be visible.
“There,” he declared, smoothing Go’s jacket out, “perfect.” His smile was enough to shine a permanent light on Go’s outlook of life. He really was something. “Do mine then?” He took his from his pocket and Go traded the pin for his cup. Even with his jacket open, it wouldn’t be very visible.
“Hmm..” Go tugged the scarflike part of his jacket, pulling it outwards slightly. He then affixed the pin to the folds so that it was visible. “There.” He echoed Chase’s earlier words. He was happy Chase had convinced him to come. It was always special to see the roidmude experiencing genuine joy. It made Go happy.
Chase reached forward, lips pressing against his boyfriend’s cheek. “Thank you for coming with me today.”
“Any time, Chase.”
“There are live performances today, let’s go see.”
Go chuckled as the roidmude took his hand, once more dragging him along. But then, it wasn’t really dragging anymore. There was nowhere Chase could go that Go would not follow. Not anymore.
