Single life has taught me many important life lessons. One of the best ones is to chase no one. Which is also something that comes with age and maturity. • • When I had just turned single a few years ago, after a whole decade of being in long term relationships - I had made many foolish and cringe worthy mistakes. • • It is very unpleasant for me to think back on the men I chased back in the day. A lot of them weren’t even that great (Probably even jerks), and for most of them I didn’t really feel much if at all. But either way, I was infatuated. • • Despite having some terrible and nasty experiences, I am glad for them in a way because I have learned so much. They taught me self worth, how to set proper standers and what to never, in ever put up with or tolerate. • • Single life enhanced the confidence and independence I needed for setting proper standards, and taught me how not to put up with shit I don’t deserve. • • My number one tip is to never chase anyone, no matter how difficult. If someone is worth it, you won’t need to. So just be patient and remind yourself of all the reasons you are great. With time it will all get easier. • • • How about you?
