Chase was worried for a second before Shane gave him the amused look. He returned the man’s grin, but also flinched a little at the pat on his back. Oh god. Right right right ummm.Teenage boys were always interested in sex. Ugh. Before all this happened, it had been a long time since he’d had to pretend to be something he wasn’t.

         “Um- yeah. Gotta live vicariously through others at the moment…”

He replied sheepishly. There was KC, but Chase was still at the stage of admiring from afar. After all, who was there but his sister to save him if he confessed - everything - to the boy, and it all went pear-shaped? It just wasn’t worth the risk right now.

    Shane huffed and did a short chuckle. “Alright then.” There were only so many ways to keep yourself amused nowadays anyway, and Shane didn’t blame the teen at all for being nosy. “Since you’re so interested - I didn’ top. S’there anything else y’wanna know?” He raised his eyebrows at Chase, still wearing the amused grin on his lips.

    Shane frowned, giving the boy an amused look and a scoff. Was it that obvious? “I’d say that’s none of your business, alright.”  He grinned though, biting the tip of his tongue and gave Chase a hard pat on the back. “Dontcha get enough action yourself so y’have t’ pry on others, huh?” Naturally, he wouldn’t answer the question without teasing first.

Chase/KC hc: when KC gets the itch to slip into his old ways, Chase distracts him with life: taking him skateboarding/rollerblading, lazer skirmish, kayaking, LARPing once, and to shelters to help out people who don't have that personal support network. //sends u this cos xtreme feels for these two right now ♡

Ohmygod, headcanon accepted.The worst things for KC is when he uses ecstasy and hits the fucking lows that come after. KC doesn’t do well when coming down from anything and once he is low, he doesn’t get to undo that damage and the itch to be high again is terrible. I think that Chase is his best partner because KC honestly tries to stay clean and searches for other ways to be happy.

5. How do they react to finding out someone has a crush on them?Generally, Tim finds it amusing that someone has a crush on him. He’ll kinda chuckle about it, be amused, possibly make a few jokes depending on who it is but then continue on with life. A crush is a crush and he doesn’t see it as leading any where.

10. Do they use Instagram, Facebook, or Tumblr? If so, how much/often?He’s tried having Facebook and Instagram but he’s often so busy that he forgets that they exist. Sometimes when he gets messages from people he’ll reply. He’s more likely to be active through texts and calls though.

15. Are they the big spoon or the little spoon?Tim’s not much for cuddling. It’s too hot, there’s too many limbs, among a multitude of other reasons. But on the few occasions that he gets the bug up his ass to cuddle, he’ll often curl up as big spoon. Unless he’s sick. When he’s sick he’ll be little spoon and practically be a world-class cuddler.

20. How do they behave when confronted with deadlines?Everything is already done before the deadline. Tim’s not much for procrastinating and will complete what needs completed so he doesn’t have to worry about it. Deadlines come and go without him batting an eye. 

25. Does your muse listen to vinyl records? Do they use iTunes? Do they legally or illegally download music?iTunes is his shit. He’s has a wide array of music on his phone and computer. It’s a mix really, of what was legally downloaded and not. 

30. Trendsetter, trend follower, or trend ignorer?With Tim’s deficit of fucks, he’s a trend ignorer. He couldn’t care less what’s ‘cool’ or in. He’s going to do what he wants and the rest of the world can fuck off.

35. What’s their Starbucks order?Is Rudy with him? If he’s alone, plain black coffee is just fine but Rudy can easily convince him to try any multitude of drinks that they have. He kind of likes a good portion of them but he’ll always fall back on plain black coffee.

40. What kind of videos do they get recommended on YouTube?A lot of football playbacks. Some military videos from him watching Lilley’s videos. A few medical things, but mainly football and military shit.

45. Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter?Lord of the Rings. Without fail. Tim actually hasn’t finished all of the Harry Potter movies but he’s seen the Lord of the Rings enough times to quote it under his breath.

50. What do they think is the meaning of life?To get through to your last days and not regret what you’ve done with your life. To look back and think, ‘yeah, I did pretty okay’ and be okay with what you had.

Chase blinked heavily; that certainly wasn’t what he was hoping to hear. It was obvious that Shane had some issues, but paranoia about the walls? That idea chilled the younger to his core.

“Um, forever, I hope.” Chase muttered, now concerned not only by the thought of the walkers outside the walls, but also of someone coming inside the walls with malicious intent.

    Shane gave a dull chuckle at the boy’s answer. “The support’s on th’ outside, easy t’ climb.” Why would they even put it on the outside in the first place? He sucked in his lower lip and bit down on it, then glanced at Chase with raised brows. “Ain’t safe. The dead ain’t so bad compared to th’ living.”

Clinic Duty

chasequality The sterile smell of the clinic was still off putting. Tim was positive he would never get used to it much like the scrubs he was told to wear. It was all unfamiliar after so long in the sand and glaring sun with conditions that were questionable at best. He grabs the next chart as he passes the front desk, shooting the name a quick glance. For a brief moment he misses the feeling of his uniform, the scratch of the sand and the bright sun making his eyes burn as he looks out over the patients waiting their turn. Tim's gaze falls to a mother holding her small baby in her arms and the sight brings back painful memories of lives he couldn't help. Looking back to the chart, he clears his throat. "Delaney, Chase?" Sharp blues eyes search for the patient and he gives a sharp nod as the man stands up. "Morning." He offers, scanning the chart as he walks, leading the other to the room down the hall. He looks to the young man briefly over his shoulder, opening the door to let Delaney in to the room. The urge to give his rank was still there, the nickname 'doc' still on the tip of his tongue. He bites them down. "I'm Bryan, I'll be your nurse today." Tim motions the other man to the table as he takes a seat on what would be the doctors stool, wheeling to the side for the items needed for vitals. "Make yourself comfortable, I'm just going to take your vitals. Any particular worries you wanted to address today?" Reaching out for the man's arm is a familiar action, drawing it to him to take his pulse as he talks.

    “Ah...” He had been staring up at the walls for too long to be labeled ‘okay’, he thought. His tongue slid over the inside of his lower lip and he shifted his weight. “Yeah,” he said in a hoarse voice, pinching the eyebrows together. “How long d’ya think it’ll take ‘fore someone climbs over?”
