❝Remember that time in the park?❞
♠♕
♠ - What are they afraid of?
Losing any of her close relatives and friends, especially her brothers. The boys are her whole world, really. She’s closest to her little brother Ray, who’s a little bit of a daredevil, and she worries about him on a daily basis. Her boggart is him being threatened by a magic-user and unable to defend himself, the main reason why she keeps him strictly separate from the wizarding world in her life.
♕ - Do they trust easily?
Generally, yes. Winnie’s a pretty easygoing person and she’s usually a mediator in arguments between friends. She’s the girl who got through school without any blowups in friend groups or backstabbing gossip finding its way to her. She hasn’t, as of yet, had much of a reason to be distrustful.
you're a wedding planner, but do you enjoy weddings? do you see yourself having a wedding of your own?
Generally, I’d like to say that I do enjoy weddings. To some of people, wedding is a ceremony for their life to enter a brand new chapter. It’s really amazing to see people’s reaction on their wedding.
As for a wedding of my own, I’m still not too sure. I’m still twenty and I think I’ve got a whole life that I haven’t figure out yet and I don’t really believe in romantic gestures--- but who knows? Maybe one day I’ll be ready to settle down and marry someone.
do you have any particular reforms you'd like to make in regards to education at hogwarts?
“For one, the fact there is no class that allows students to learn about other cultures other than Muggle Studies is asinine. There are other places outside of the United Kingdom, other magical places with different languages and traditions. Our curriculum standards, our examinations, all come from the 1600s and need rehashing and updating. We need to bring Hogwarts into the twenty first century. Even outside of Hogwarts, children need to be learning practical skills before they get there at age eleven. Problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and social skills to some degree. In truth, Hogwarts needs to be revolutionized rather than merely reformed.”
what part of being an unspeakable do you enjoy most?
“The exploratory process. Obviously, I can’t get into any specifics, but the whole reason I enjoy doing it is that it caters to my curiosities. A lot of the times, it actually brings more questions than answers, but that in itself is fascinating, too. You’re always learning, always figuring out the limits of this or that, and you break a lot of boundaries on what you thought to be true. It’s certainly reaffirmed my idea that logic, or anything really, doesn’t exist on a strict binary.”
why did you decide to become a librarian?
“Well, truly, my first choice was therapist. There’s a lot of work that we still have to do towards eliminating stigma towards mental disorders and illnesses, and I kind of wanted to be a part of that. But, ahem, that didn’t end up being my path. And books are my second great love, after people. Books can be a kind of therapy in themselves, don’t you think? I can’t count the things I’ve discovered about myself through a good book, good characters who explain to me the way I feel before I can articulate it. But writing’s not really my thing, so being a librarian means I can be around books as much as I like!”
do you ever worry about the impression that your family name brings with it?
“I am very much aware of my family’s history and the reputation it carries with it, though I like to think that people are capable of looking past a last name when forming their opinions of someone.”
what do you enjoy about being a lawyer?
“I enjoy being able to win.”
