❝ I am laughing, just not externally. ❞ ~chase
“You are such a bore sometimes Shepard, y’know that!”
If husks still had bodily fluids, she’d be covered in their blood. Instead, dessicated flesh parted under gunfire and omniblade - the mindless creatures torn apart like ragdolls in the maw of a varren. Caitlin had held the damned things off at range, but even the modified Black Widow’s rate of fire was too slow to keep up with the tide of dead flesh.
Some of them still had recognisable features; the last traces of the identities that they held in life turned into a mockery of who they were, a cheap attempt at inflicting hesitation upon the galaxy’s defenders. Yet all she saw was an obstacle, an enemy - not the remnants of loved ones or colleages, nor the grisly fate that awaited the fallen. Just another thing trying to kill her. Hesitation was something that she had overcome long ago.
And across the galaxy, people of all walks of life were likely learning to do the same thing. Survival, regardless of the cost or circumstance.
The Turian to her left had gone down with a screech that could have woken the dead - if it weren’t for the fact that several of them had shattered his armour, promptly tearing into his gut with warped hands. He died giving as good as he’d gotten, discharging his shotgun into the first two before a third snapped his neck.
Suddenly one of the dead fuckers was on Caitlin’s back, momentum sending her sprawling against the concrete floor. Brittle fingers saught purchase between segmented armour plates, and teeth sunk into the corner of her jaw. Her omniblade went through the thing’s skull - perhaps uncomfortably close to her own, but enough to stop it from chewing the rest of her face off.
The next thing that came towards her wasn’t a husk, but a human. Blonde. Shouting. Rubi Cooper. An arm went under hers, supporting the Spectre and lifting her to her feet.
Shit. Caitlin thought to herself. I must look like a damn mess.
And it wasn’t an inaccurate suggestion. Blood streamed from the gaping wound on her face, smaller scratches adding to the flow. It wouldn’t take long to seal, providing that her armour’s medi-gel reserves were still being shunted into the sub-dermal lattice Cerberus had gifted her.
Bloody terrorist bastards knew how to rebuild someone.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.” she snapped between ragged breaths - her assailant having knocked the wind from her lungs. “Get back to your damn post. These fuckers won’t stop coming because of your damn charity.”
Part of her was grateful for the help, but that part had been buried under necessity and burning adrenaline. Red eyes glanced across the outpost’s perimeter - allied forces were slowly forcing the dead back, but not without casualties. One of the Salarians had managed to get turrets back up and running, slowly thinning the tide, and an Asari was doing her best to hold baack the husks with biotic fields.
Thunk. Thunk. Thunk.
She looked down from the balcony, over to the ramp that made the south approach. And then the hulking monstrosity ambling some seven-hundred metres away took notice of the makeshift barricade and roared.
Welcome to the end of another world.
Chaos chaos and more chaos- she would always joke that it was her middle name and that it followed around but this was a complete joke. They were getting squashed and they had no chance at victory and there only hope, well she had just been bitten by one of those damn husks and Rubi knew that if she let her die then it meant she would be giving the reapers a default win. “I am not going to bloody leave you Shepard” she barked at the women and took another look at the battle field. It was pointless anyway and she knew that everyone out there if they didn’t pull back would be dead soon.
Rubi soon felt the ground shake and her eyes darted to the bloody giant brute pounding it’s way across the field. shit she had to get Shepard out of here and fast. Another scan around and Rubi noticed that the shuttles were back at the other end of the battlefield oh fuck off she had to get Shepard over there and out of this damn hell hole. “Right shit, we need to get out out of here Shep, back to Doctor Chakwas, and god please don’t argue” she knew that she would defiantly argue and kick up a fuss about leaving the battle field but there really was no better option.
The only sound that Rubi could hear now were the screams of the brutes victims, it was a bloody slaughter and it was going to be a huge risk to carry Shepard across that field but damn she had to try, she had to do something and fighting and dying here however tempting would not help the damn galaxy.

Joker tugged his uniform down one last time, sighing as he took the hat off his head and set it aside. He smoothed out his hair and made sure it was in place, shaking his head as he got ready. He hated events like this but since it was Kaidan, the crew of the Normandy was expected to go. Besides, he was becoming the second human Spectre, and that was a big thing.

The battlefield was complete chaos, Rubi was usually good in this sort of situation but it had gotten all to much, they had no chance of victory with all of these damn husks. How was there so many Rubi wondered, surely with the amount they had killed the numbers would be going down. Cooper tried to pull her self together and charged towards another heard of husks “fuck, shit fuck” she cried out as she avoided there attacks and killed everyone of them did they just try to bit me she asked herself and tried to push the thought away thinking that it was just a trick in the moment.
Soon though Rubi was puled out of her thoughts as she heard a scream and her head snapped to see who it was. “Fuck” she screamed as she saw Shepard being bitten by one of the husks and ran towards her “What the actual fuck” she stated and tried to help her up “Shep are you alright, shit, oh god, Shep answer me?” she attempted to pull the women out of the battlefield unsure if she would survive or not “Come on Shepard we need you, I need you please… what the hell?”

5:How old is your OC?
29
13:What is your OCs earliest memory?
Probably the birth of her younger sister, she tries to forget most of her past but the madness of trying to get her mother to the hospital was insane because he father got lost (since they were staying in the citadel until the baby came and they had never been before)
There were tears both happy and sad and she remembers her mother telling her father that she was going to kill him after the baby came yet when they baby came she thanked him in fits of tears [Oh look I am crying now whyyyy]
23:Whats your OCs biggest secret?
… she is for the most part an open book because having secrets in her kind of business can be dangerous so the only secrets that she has are silly little secrets and the biggest one of the moment is
She may or may not have had a kinky sex dream about River which she would never admit because she would only tease her about it but damn that women has one hell of an ass
36:What turns your OC on?
Everything
Rubi is a pretty kinky shit like seriously she is turned on by the weirdest thing like candle wax dripping down her body and pain ect.
Yet she can also be turned on by the cute fluff stuff as well, like you play with Rubi’s hair you bet she will pounce on you as soon as you finish, heck you even look at her in either a seductive or loving way she will be all for that booty.

She now regretted giving into demands to join in the festivities.
“It will be fun!” they said, Morgana mused dryly. “You need to be more personable!” they said.
A few drinks with the crew she could handle.
She didn’t expect to be pulled into a game such as this.
Morgana found herself led–albeit somewhat tentatively as most of the Normandy crew and squad knew of her icy (literally) reputation on and off the battlefield–toward the Commander.
Though both technically held the same rank, Morgana had asked that others strictly refer to Shepard as Commander and herself as Lieutenant Commander to prevent confusion
“I’m not the one uniting all organic races in a bid to win the largest galactic war in history,” she had said when she had brought the matter to Shepard. “Just as the Admirals Hackett and Anderson desired, I’m here to lend you my tactical knowledge and skill in battle.” She had smiled. “And perhaps act as a confidante if you feel that I’m somehow diminishing my role here, but for all intents and purposes, simply consider me your second-in-command.”
In little time at all, the Normandy’s resident tactical expert, tech extraordinaire, and empath stood before humanity’s most famous officer, grey eyes staring up at Shepard as she often did, given their respective height differences. Morgana’s empathy was fluctuating, picking up on some nervousness though whether it was from the woman before her or the group gathered around them wasn’t something she cared to pinpoint.
She didn’t doubt the dare had been called to get the two most intimidating women on the ship to interact with one another albeit somewhat… intimately.
…And people actually had the gall to ask why she wasn’t more sociable.
Though Morgana didn’t have Shepard’s height, there was something equally imposing about the British woman. Perhaps it could have been an attribute of her mental powers, but despite her regal bearing, there was little denying the aura she quietly exuded, one that could tower over the fiercest of krogan like the overhanging grey of skies that heralded the coming of a storm.
The Lieutenant Commander could be as calm as a spring breeze, but there was little doubt that she devastate like the maelstrom of a natural disaster–something perhaps Shepard could appreciate.
And then Morgana’s lips twitched at their corners, her expression one of, “Oh, the things these people do to entertain themselves,” before beckoning the other woman with a crooked finger, silently requesting Shepard to dip her head toward her.
