Recall, stop-sale on 2017-18 Rams

After an internal investigation found that the brake-transmission shift interlock could overheat on some Ram trucks, FCA chose to recall around 225,000 pickups and chassis cabs.

The recall only affects vehicles with the old-fashioned steering-column-based shifters — not those with the new “knob.”  The problem has been linked to drivers who hold down the brake pedal for a long period while idling…
