Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow Teaser

Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow is the latest Marvel’s Wastelanders scripted podcasts series following Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord and Marvel’s Wastelanders: Hawkeye. The 10-episode series stars Susan Sarandon as Helen Black along with Eva Amurri, Nate Corddry, Amber Gray, Melissa Gilbert, Chasten Harmon, Michael Imperioli, and Justin Kirk. The podcast is written by Alex Delyle and directed by Timothy Busfield. Sound design and original music is by Daniel Brunelle.

Set in an alternate universe nearly 30 years after the villains won and wiped out the heroes, known as V-Day, Helen Black moves into her new apartment in The Onar in what use to be Midtown Manhattan. The Onar, owned and operated by S.H.I.E.L.D., is “the very embodiment of the dystopic wealth and inequality that’s engulfed New York City ever since V-Day. A collection of uber-rich families – including the media magnate Burge family – occupy the opulent penthouses in the DecaDomes, The Onar’s highest ten stories. Helen Black’s apartment is located in the much more humble “100 Block”. When her nosy neighbor Dr. Brian Mizuno asks Helen (through the paper-thin walls) what brought her here, she cryptically alludes to “problems with an ex…”.” (Marvel Comics) Meanwhile, Lisa Cartwright is reporting for her first day as a Junior Residential Security Analyst for Panopticog Solutions, a private security company that S.H.I.E.L.D. hired to secretly monitor The Onar residents. When Lisa begins monitoring Helen’s part of The 100 Block, she quickly realized that Helen is not who she claims to be.

Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow premieres on SXM App and Marvel Podcasts Unlimited on Apple Podcasts on January 10, 2022. The episode will then stream a wekk later on Pandora, Stitcher, and all major podcast platforms in the U.S.
