random question, but when you guys do your rp thing on here, do you feel like you’re telling a story about your characters, or pretending to be your characters?

me personally, i feel like i’m telling stories when i rp on tumblr, but i feel like i’m pretending to be when i do tabletop or play video games, which is a weird distinction but definitely a real one in my head for some reason

The Wild is a group rp held on a Discord server where we bring our favorite canon and oc characters and any plot ideas we have to life via group chat and want ads on the server.

We have a Discord bot set up where you can create separate character accounts to post with, so no need to switch between Discord accounts. And anyone can play the same characters from a fandom! Anything from 1x1 to group plots go.

Not only do we have this wonderful roleplay going on, but we have several chat areas as well. In fact, we spend a good amount of time just hanging out when not writing with each other.

We would also love to let you know that we are a Safe Place and that we welcome members from all walks of life, no matter what. No shaming here! Only love and acceptance.

The Wild is all about comfort over content, so know that if you need a break from writing, we can absolutely pick up where you left off!

Lastly, for your consideration of our group and its dynamic, the following aren't true requirements but things we think you should know:

• Our members range in age from 23 to well over 30 and due to the sometimes mature content and discussions, we prefer members to be over the age of 21 to join.

• Although we have some fun rapid fire post channels, almost all of us typically churn out several paragraphs at a time and prefer partners that can, if not match, at least give us something to work with for replies instead of consistent 2 to 3 lines every time. (This absolutely does not count for our rapid fire section!)

• While we would prefer any potential members to have experience in prior rp, we will happily welcome anyone who doesn't but does have a background in writing and a love of community and trying to write and collaborate together.
