Something About Jade

It was a quiet day and Rodrigo wasn’t sure if he preferred it this way especially since it had been 24 hours since the last time he had heard from Jade. Ziggy had the day off from his own classes and was able to fill in for his missing pianist and after a straight forward rehearsal, the kids were dismissed. He waved his goodbyes and watched as they all met their rides outside of the school. Once he saw that all the kids were picked up, Rodrigo went back inside and basically melted into his chair. 

“Ohhhh child you have it bad.” Ziggy grinned, pressing a script against his mouth. “Are you going to talk to her?” 

“No. Why should I?” Rodrigo removed his glasses and closed his eyes so he could rub the bridge of his nose. 

“Because you don’t know Jade’s side. For all you know, that lady is an imposter and poor Jade has been kidnapped or something.” 

“Love your imagination but doubtful.” Rodrigo sighed and sat up to collect his things. “Thanks for sticking around. The kids were happy to see you again.” 

Ziggy was about to say something when the knock on the door distracted him. “Come in! I wonder who that is?” He was hopeful it be the woman in question so he kept his eyes on the door.

         Since this whole ‘North End Outbreak’ happened, the town that was already a mystery to her was now completely and utterly foreign. A week ago there were friendly faces, there were people shoveling each others snow, there were flyers on car windows. Now there was quiet over the shoulder glances, there was a tight feeling that Taylor couldn’t quite grasp being still an outsider that she was. 

         North End wasn’t that bad, it couldn’t be. In fact her now fully recharged cell indicated the highest ranked thrift shop in all of Lanford and what better opportunity to show face than now where it was likely most were laying low and prices were on the decline. Sure it was for selfish reasons but hey, her stuff had gotten stolen too, she needed clothes. “Hey! Hey!—”

       Two of them practically swarmed, it wasn’t until they were close enough that she couldn’t see a face outside of the face paint and hoodies—instantly her chest pounded and the comfortable meandering she had in mind was in panic mode as one slapped one of her pocketed hands. “North eeeend, go back to Kiiingsgate, suck, suck, suuuuck—” he slurped harshly, the sound leering and revolting all at once, Taylor tried to maintain a steady walk and ignore the passerby when from one side to the other, the other guy, the one with the red stripes appeared directly in front of her a few yards down. Everything in her told her to turn back but she didn’t...

Rodrigo had eaten his weight in elote. Everything was delicious and while everyone hung out by the bonfire, he knew it was his cue to find something else to do.  If he gave his mom and the tias anytime to think, they’d find a way to set him up with someone new. He noticed Jade’s crew was out and about too especially since his uncle had been in charge of the grill. It made him curious as to where she was. His mother had insisted on helping Jade and her staff so if anyone knew, it was probably her. He sneaked up behind her and placed a blanket on her shoulders, smiling at the awws from the tias before whispering in her ear. “Donde esta Jade?” His mother smirked, looking up at her son and eyeing him. “What? She’s my friend and Aera is busy with Luney.” 

“She’s in the kitchen. That girl doesn’t know the meaning of rest, huh?” Rodrigo kissed his mom on the cheek and thanked her before adding, “you have no idea.” He made his way to the kitchen, glad to see he had picked the right one when he saw Jade working on what he assumed was tomorrow’s menu, “Hey! Avoiding me?” He popped his whole body in and pulled a seat across from her.

“I just had coulson trying to lecture me about my past relationship and daisy try to meddle in my sex life,god just remembering makes me wanna barf..and oh oh oh a pervert from my life as a Callahan is harassing me at the bar and being all…touchy! Yuck”

[Confident Jade Thing @ Davis cause why not?] Jade was on a shift on a bar..her own attempt of a normal life,she was still hurt by Davis' Words that's why she ignored him but when a Jerk Kept flirting with her she didn't mind anyone watching her kick his ass in the end she stepped on his neck and said darkly. ''So Still wanna take me home?"             

I started clapping, I had started taking a new serum, to make me be better. Still, it had some side effects, like sometimes I’d be way to angry or change my mood. But for most of the time I was myself. It only made me better, it wasnt as bad as the beta serum.
