Yeah, I mean, we are in NZ so there may be some differences because of that but I think that would make it even more interesting.  Can’t afford the test at the mo unfortunately because of life. We just bought a new fridge, I had to get new specs, need a new phone, and am trying to save for an important family trip later in the year, but I will let you know if/when I get it done!  Bonus picture of a folded up sleepy monster

@moreanimalia and @-bats I will be starting in the UK so will put the London Eye, the V & A and Historical Fashion Museum, and of course London Zoo on the list! I may not visit everything on the list, but I prefer to have a list to choose from rather than trying to figure it out at the time because I end up wasting too much time that way. Also definitely have to visit the NHM, there’s no way I am missing that!  @quietmagpie Rome! Yes we should definitely add that to the list! We already have Barga on the list, which is further north, because the man-thing has family who adore the place so we thought it worth a look-see.

It will probably be at least another year before we go, we will wait till we lose the geriatric rats and then I have a wedding to attend in March next year so will probably go after that.

@vultureculturecoyote I just saw your reply on my fish tank photo, and it's actually pretty low maintenance! Bigger tanks tend to be easier to manage in terms of water quality because a slight change in the amount of whatever decides to change has less of an effect due to beimg a smaller percentage of the overall water volume. Pair that with our spectacular filter system, which includes a massive bubble bead filter for biological filtration, uv bulbs for sterilisation and carbon and phosphate filter modules for the water going into the tank and maintenance is as easy as it will ever be. We do a weekly water change and backwash the bubble bead filter, which is as simple as switching everything off and turning a few taps. And as needed (which is not super frequently) we use a sponge on a long pole to clean algae off the viewing panes. The worst part about that job is that you can't really see what you are doing so we find it easier to do together where one person can act as a spotter.

Hi there, I'm like super brand new to vulture culture, and my friend got me what we think is a fox skull for my birthday. It's been cleaned and the teeth have been put back in, but we want to coat it with something to protect it. What do you recommend we use?

Welcome! If it has been cleaned it properly you shouldn’t need to coat it, but if you do want to coat it I suggest a spray on matte lacquer. You can use normal lacquer if you want it shiny but matte will make it look more natural.
