They are all Calopuses 

A calopus is a creature from European mythology and heraldry that has the head of a cat, horns of a goat and body of a wolf. As you can see here they exist in many different forms around the world.

Cinder and Ember are both girls whereas Ash is a boy. Cinder is the youngest, Ember is the oldest

They are mostly guard animals and they accompany me on hunting trips to sniff out and chase down prey.

The Calopus (or Chatloup) was a creature that was first depicted in the form of a wood carving that was erected at the Raveningham church in Norfolk, England in the 1380s. The creature was commonly used on medieval heralds. It often is said to have the features of a cat, a bear, a reptile and a boar but most people feared its long horns that had serrated edges. Eyewitnesses claimed that the horns of the Calopus were strong enough to knock over trees with one charge. This was thought to come in handy when the creature’s prey would run up a tree trunk to escape it.
