AAAA I can't hold my excitement any longer 😆 Okay, let me tell you how this works. Go to your Steam library and click on any game. At the top of the page, you click the gear icon to open Properties. Then you find "Customization" to change any background, even a logo. Happy customizing! 😌✨

Ughhhh, my SniperSpy save file got corrupted when I meant to finish and post it today. 😢 I spent 12+ hours on this file! Sigh, I tried everything and nothing worked. So, I should get support to repair the file (most unlikely), or just use the old WIP screenshots to edit and redraw some large parts. It might take me a day or two to finish. Gee, I will just see if the file can get restored first, while I will just work on another SniperSpy file, which is nearly completed. Honestly, I am a little sad, and at least I have saved most of the essential linework from the camera pictures + screenshots. 😭👍✨

The Special Sign for SniperSpy

I made a personalized sign for SniperSpy?! WHAT?? In context, I'm Deaf and speak American Sign language (ASL). At first, I didn't want to sign Spy or Sniper (plainly and visually) in any term, and I doubted there had ever been a precise sign for either. Anyway, I never bothered to look up, so I just continued to fingerspell both words at high speed. Before I tell how I created the sign, I'd like to share those silly discussions I had with my best friend yesterday about SniperSpy, in literal ASL translation, which led me to the point.

While I stayed over at my best friend's house, I signed to her, "SORRY, LONG SHOWER 🚿 I DAYDREAM--" I raised a hand over my head to fingerpsell sniper and spy, "--SO DISTRACTED, CAN'T PUSH THEM OFF HEAD." 👋😫

While I was with her outside and saw a new fanfic announcement on my phone, I signed with excited eyes, "WANT READ NEW CHAPTERS LATER--" Again, to finish off, I fingerspelled sniper and spy poorly because my poor fingers couldn't catch up fast to my excitement.

Later again at her house, I dropped my eReader onto my lap in joy and signed, "AH FINISHED LAST TWO CHAPTERS!!! SO GOOD I LOVE SN…IP…SP…! (UGH) NOT FINGERSPELL FAST!" Anyway, she understood what I just fingerspelt. 😅 She's already used to me typing this nonsense and feels for sooo long. She's not even a TF2 fan nor a Deafie, but didn't mind seeing me signing about SniperSpy in excitement all day. Thank goodness she's my best friend who understands me well. 💖✨

Back to the conversation, I kept on signing, even more sloppily but aggressively, "WHY THEY DESTROY ME. STAB (MY) BACK. SHOOT (MY) HEAD, LIKE THE GAME. WHY THEM SO GOOD I LOVE THOSE TWO IN LOVE?! WHY I CRAZY FOR THEM?" 😭 I pretended to faint into the couch, as if I got killed in TF2. My best friend smiled, signing to me that I was adorable. The passionate way I acted over a couple of fictional men. 🙈 Stoppp! I'm just so animated in ASL.

Suddenly, I sat up and signed, "I NEED SIGN FOR S--S-SN--! 😫 SIGHHH YOU SEE WHY!" At this point, I didn't want to fingerspell them anymore. I was getting fatigued, and it's midnight. Anyway, I finally decided to make a sign for SniperSpy!! It's not the first time I've made one because I've created signs for video games and TV shows before, which allows me to discuss them with my ASL friends and family. Funny, I haven't even made a sign for Team Fortress 2, but it's not important enough (no offense)! 😂

Back to the conversation, my poor friend continued to witness more of my nonsense. I pondered, playing with my hands, "shoot, backstab? Double S? Too boring. Literal knife party? Oh right, Bloody Suit?" Whoa, it didn't take me long to sign "BLOODY SUIT" (not literally). To sign "blood", I motioned a wiggling hand down from the mouth to portray dipping blood, and then abruptly drew a necktie down with "S" in a straight line. Funny, my friend didn't even question what I really meant, and repeated this and seemed like "ah, that's simple." Funny, she showed it to her partner, who just entered the living room at the right time. Welp, that's good!

Honestly, I was surprised like "That's it?? Wow, that's easier to create than I expected" because the sign doesn't appear too offensive, considering ASL can be a bit graphic around words. 💀 It probably doesn't seem too direct to hearies. Keep in mind that any sign I created is not official in ASL vocabulary. This is similar to getting a personalized sign name given by a Deaf person, depending on the connection with the person who receives the sign name. As a Deafie, I technically gifted a sign name to SniperSpy in my appreciation, though that's absolutely personal to me, even if I don't use the sign often. Even if I don't have anybody else to discuss this with. It's special enough that I might need it again.

Gee, I can't believe I just created this sign?? Is it for real? What, to prove how obsessed I am with the ship??? 🙈 Maybe I will try to illustrate this sign later? Idk, honestly. I just wanted to express how much I adore this ship in my language because I hadn't signed with anybody in the last month. Then I suddenly spilled my excitement in ASL because of my recent motivation to draw them more. I'm just glad that the sign exists for now. 😊💖

Returning to Tumblr?!

Hello guys! I'm Channy, and I like drawing magical girls. I've been primarily using Instagram. Please check out my gallery there via silentchanny. I don't know if I'd post older works here, but I will post future works for now.

I miss the old days of Tumblr, though I still visit occasionally for fandoms. For now, I want to post my future works, especially fanart, here because I believe it's better to share fanart on this platform rather than IG. No algorithm to deal with, no worries for useless hashtags. I love being able to check out the newest works through hashtags and the chronological dashboard. This is alone the main reason I've been using Tumblr.

Now, to use Tumblr more, I want to create more fanart and share my joys with others. Not to lie, I'm hoping to feel better by having a healthy dose of drawing whatever I like without pressure. No need to make everything perfect. This is why I'm choosing fanart to share here, while I will post more personal projects and painting studies even on IG.
