After Guvak (I), his son Chandraraj (II) became the ruler of Ajmer. After that, Guvak (II) became the king of Ajmer. By this period the prestige of the Chauhans had increased so much that Kalavati, the sister of Govaka (II), was married to the Pratihara ruler Bhoja (I).
After Guvak (II), Chandanraj sat on the throne of Ajmer. Chandanraj attacked Tanvaravati near Delhi and killed the Tomar king Rudren or Rudrapal of Tanvaravati. Since then the Tomar rulers of Delhi became feudatories under the Chauhans of Ajmer.
