He repeatedly dropped sexual innuendoes around T’Pol in season one.  He made Hoshi Sato stop doing her job so she could get a cake for Malcolm Reed.  He started an interstellar incident over his stupid beagle.  Then he vindictively sent poor Scotty and Keenser to ice-planet, again, over the stupid beagle.

What is Chauvinism? Can women be chauvinists too?

Obvious disclaimer though: I don’t necessarily endorse the concepts in this series just because I’m explaining them but some I’m pretty passionate about!

Feminist and Feminist-related theories and concepts can be REALLY confusing with some complex terms being thrown around. These videos are my attempt at making things a little clearer by providing a guide to what on Earth people are talking about when they’re arguing on the internet!

Definitions Distorted

I think one big problem with chauvinists is that most of them have never had great role models in their lives, male or female, thus shedding some light on their inability to respect women. It's unfortunate for them, but also for everyone. When one group of people belittles another, it hinders progress for the human race as a whole.

By the way, the real definition of a "feminist" is someone who supports gender equality. Yes, perhaps some radical, "man-hater" ruined that term for some people, but it's still important to do one's own research before deciding to condemn an entire group of people.
