I haven’t shared anything for #CHBreimagined in a while but here’s my version of the Camp Half Blood map! I’ve tried to redesign it with more of a sense of scale and I’ve added a few more geographical and topographical features too. I still plan on doing another drawing of the cabin layout and a more zoomed out one including more of the woods, so stay tuned!

I’ve finally completed my lighting study of this scene! I loved doing the sunset one the most because pretty pink clouds are my fave thing to paint! All three versions are now available on my shop as prints!

Hi, it’s been a hot second since I posted anything related to this project. I recently revisited my design of the Apollo cabin only to find it really uninspiring so I decided to paint a lil scene first to get that motivation going. Plus I recently got Procreate so I needed a bit of painting practice too! More to follow!  hopefully

Camp Half Blood Reimagined ⋈ The Big House  

I was supposed to complete this painting three weeks ago, but I’m so glad I’ve finally completed it. I’m not 100% happy with it but it’s all apart of the learning process. I’ve got a lot more drawings lined up but I’ll probably take a whack at working on presenting my design of Cabin 7 next! You can see more of my process on twitter.

Alright, it’s finally done! This is just a peek at the beginning of my CHB Reimagined project where I will do a complete redesign of the Camp Half Blood layout and individual cabin designs from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series. You can follow more of my progress, planning and WIPs on my twitter. 

A bit on why I started the project: I have a background in architecture and I’m currently awaiting my visa to be approved to study a Masters of Landscape Architecture in Australia. Since I have all this free time, I thought it’d be a good way to work my design muscles a little as well as practice more background painting! Plus, I’ve been thinking about this project for 3+ years so it’s finally coming to life! I would so love it if you’d join along on this journey by sharing! Thank you!
