Day 27 of Heart Month❤This goes out to all the heart warriors and parents of heart warriors. It takes a certain type of person to face what we are battling. Some days are easier than others but we always find the strength to stand up and fight. #heartparents #heartwarrior #heartmonth #doubleoutletrightventricle #dorv #persistentleftsuperiorvenacava #tof #tetralogyoffallot #chd #chdsux #chdawareness #fckchd #firsttimeparents #1in100 #ihearticie #daughter

I had one last sonogram scheduled for 9am. The sonogram was routine. We found out Icie was in the 51% for growth and weighed around 7lbs 3oz. I asked if we could try to get one last 3d image of her face before seeing the real thing but she was facing towards my spine and was really low. That was it for the sonogram. After the sonogram Carl and I headed to the midwife appointment that was scheduled at 9:30am. I was nervous about this appointment. I read that having a membrane sweep can hurt but I knew I wanted it done regardless of the pain. It was my last hope to go into labor naturally. The midwife asked the normal questions and then got right down to business. I felt a little cramping while the sweep was being done but it was not painful at all. Thank god! She said some spotting is normal and hopefully this gets some stuff moving. That concluded the last midwife visit I would have. I got a few hugs from some of the nurses at the office along with some “good lucks” and that was it.

Day 28 of Heart Month❤️Today is the last day of Heart Month. While I won't be posting daily on the matter you can bet your ass it's on my mind as well as my husbands, our families and all the other family's touched by congenital heart defects minds. We fight every day. Fight through tears, fear and horrible thoughts. We hold tightly to the wonderful stories we have been told which gives us hope. We just keep moving forward. It's only the beginning for Carl and me but this is our lives now. Every day, every week, every month, every year. Wear red when you can. Spread awareness. Let's not let CHD awareness fade as February ends. We all know CHD isn't going anywhere. #heartmonth #heartwarrior #heartparents #1in100 #daughter #ihearticie #firsttimeparents #doubleoutletrightventricle #dorv #persistentleftsuperiorvenacava #tof #tetralogyoffallot #chd #chdsux #chdawareness #fckchd
