I really can't stand people who claim they are vegan but eat meat "every once in a while." I know I should be compassionate towards them because they do care and at least they are trying but it is disrespectful to the movement and they are treating veganism as if it is just a buzzword and as superficial as a diet. They cease to realize that veganism is a moral baseline. It is causing the least amount of harm possible to the animals and and the planet. The health benefits are just an awesome perk of the lifestyle. Veganism is not just a diet.
