Thank you all so much for the positive comments on my previous post about Nevermoor. I read it in a day and a half, and I’m totally hooked! Already started in Wundersmith, but unfortunately have to get some sleep now. I’m very excited about reading this new book. Update on my entrelac blanket

For me, over the years, writing has been a major outlet. When I was young, I kept a diary and by the time I went to high school I penpalled with my friends and classmates.

Then life got in the way when I got older and started working next to my studies, and writing wasn't a necessity anymore. Of course I kept up with my diary at times, but penpalling became few and far between.

Later in early 2011 I picked it up again, when I started corresponding with people in American prison. Through the years I have had a steady flow of penfriends, but now I've brought it down to 2 and that's how it is gonna stay. Stamps are expensive and I'm just not that rich.

But, the writing bugs keep itching and when someone mentioned an app called "Slowly" I was immediately interested.

The app is free, the idea behind it is to send messages. But instead of emails that are delivered on the spot, these messages take just as long as a normal snailmail letter. It is really funny and I have already established contact with a few people. You can collect stamps (which you can also purchase, but that isn't necessary) and the app is adfree which is a major plus for me. You can have up to 100 penfriends, so that is quite awesome!

I just came across this lovely video by Dainty Diaries on YouTube, in which she upcycles some of her old waste. Not only is it relaxing to do these kind of crafts, it is also better for the environment and not to mention: very cheap. My favorites were the pringles and vanish jars, what were your favorites?
