Salt Dough Crafts
Alright, as a boy mom I am always trying to find crafts to keep his attention for more than 5 minutes. And to be honest, the crafts are always for me. 😅
Here is the SIMPLEST recipe for salt dough I have found. I'm not sure where I found it so I can't site them and I sincerely apologize.
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup water
Yes. Thats it. So easy right?
Directions.
1. Mix in a bowl until combined. It should have the consistency of play dough. Add more water or flour if needed.
2. If you're making cut out ornaments, roll with a rolling pin using parchment or wax paper (so it doesn't stick to the table or counter). I made mine about 1/4 to 1/8th inch thick. I don't know the specifics cause I didn't exactly measure and who the full cares. Not me thats who.
3. Once you got your shapes or whatever. Put in a preheated oven on parchment paper lined cookie sheet @ 250゚F for 2 hours.
4. Let these cool completely before decorating or painting.
Living in a very Christian dominated area we still celebrate Ostara on the solstice, but we do another celebration around Easter.
For sure more of these are going to be made. Not necessarily eggs. Maybe a moon something or other... 😁 Blessed Be.
