I'm not having nightmares about the war, not yet.

I've been having very vivid nightmares these past few months, mostly due to my general anxiety, the situation with my mom and other everyday shits that shouldn't have weighed down on me in the first place; I usually dream of work, hard lights supposedly not letting me sleep, fatally injured animals, that sort of thing.

But last night in my dream I lifted my eyes to a bookshelf that looked like a prison cell and saw a litter of Cheburaskas looking at me with sad, desperate faces. I don't know why I saw Cheburaskas or what the dream meant but my heart was breaking.

Those sad, abandoned faces.
