[Ten minutes ago you called Toriel for the first time in months. At first she sounded so, so happy to hear from you. And then she sounded distraught. Guess telling someone their dead son is back from the grave (???dust?) would do that to a person.]
[Handing the phone over to Asriel, you mouth It’ll be OK and give him a thumbs up.]
@goldendesolation
[Whelp. Today’s been a day.]
[You don’t even want to think about it. So you won’t! Waddyou mean you totally just messed up with one of your two (2!!!) best friends and can never ever go back there again ever? Pfft, as if. Everything is completely and totally fine. Which is exactly why you have locked yourself in.]
[As it turns out, the wardrobe here fits perfectly in the doorway, blocking the entrance. You don’t really expect anyone to come after you, but... It feels safer. Time to lay face-down on top of the bed and leak as quietly as possible.]

“It’s called an aesthetic,” they droned. “Can I please blog without you riding my ass over every little thing?”
Asriel approached Chara, his expression... odd. He was wearing the look of a man much older and wiser than he. "Chara Dreemurr," came his voice, but then not. He sounded colder. "It is good to see you again. Perhaps you do not recognize me in this form. Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Dr. Wingdings Gaster..."
Chara set the book they were reading down in their lap. They knew something was off the second they heard Asriel’s voice, and their own expression immediately closed off.
“Doctor Gaster,” they greeted slowly. “It’s a pleasure.”

[You don’t understand. One minute you’re sitting in your room watching Youtube videos and the next you’re getting messages from Asriel saying he’s leaving, probably, and he and Chara got in a fight?? Or something? And now Asriel wants to leave for the Surface For Good and Chara isn’t anywhere in the house when you make your way out, and.]
[You swear, you can’t leave these guys alone for two minutes.]
[It takes a bit longer to get to Hotland than you would’ve liked, but. What can you do. As you approach the puzzle Asriel mentioned, you can only hope you weren’t too late.]
There was a very large man in a suit walking around, paperwork in his hands as he grumbled something under his breath about something or other. And by large, it is meant in the most literal sense. He was massive. Like, seriously big. He was large, and he was grumpy. Perhaps he needed a little bit of cheer?
Well, that just wouldn’t do! Frisk walked up to him, not just a little curious about this very large man. And maybe why he was so grumpy.
( * Hey! Are you alright?)
@golden-desolation
[You’re upset. You don’t even remember why, but you’re upset, and you’re upset that you’re upset, and there’s a tightness in your chest that makes it feel like you’re being pulled in three directions at once and it’s too much. Where are you? There are so many places you could be-- you don’t know anymore. You can’t do this. You can’t do this. You don’t want to do this. You call the only name you know.]
