“It’s fine, Ouma-kun.” Dismissing the other’s words with a light shake of his head, this was the least he could do. Ouma.. saved his life after all.
Shuichi had been naive, accepting severe crime cases that many would’ve said were way above his league.. but he wouldn’t listen. Solving the cases was fairly easy, the culprits left behind way too much evidence to make this hard on him.. how dangerous they were however, was something he seriously underestimated. Walking home from work together after coincidentally running into his classmate, the unthinkable happened. What was supposed to be a quiet neighborhood was soon filled with loud shots, a rain of bullets soon heading in his general direction.... and everything after that, was a big haze.
Everything appeared to be in bullet time.. Ouma had strung him along, led them into an alleyway that would hopefully assure their safety.. but it was no use. The bullets kept flying past them, catching up to them much faster than they could run. The raven had barely prepared himself to accept death as his hues opened wide, seeing the surpreme leader jump in front of him. He had called out, utter shock visable on his features as the other’s limp body fell against him, the culprits soon fleeing the scene. This was supposed to be a relaxing walk home.. so.. why? Why did this happen..?
Finally allowing the shock to hit him, tears started to well up in his eyes. Originally holding onto the other’s body, surprise hit him once again as the other still seemed to be responsive. Calling out his name multiple times, he carefully let the other rest against a nearby wall, falling to his knees himself as well to inspect the other. He had to be hallucinating, after all. Shuichi saw those bullets going hitting the other.. multiple times.. the way his body arched as those bullets penetrated his body.. there was.. no way. No way he could’ve survived something like that.
Leaning in, the raven’s eyes spurred wide open once again.. was he actually feeling his breath on his features..? “---O-Ouma---kun..?” The raven carefully spoke, tears coming to a halt.... eyes soon locking with... the purple ones in front of him. How was this possible..? Surviving something like this couldn’t be humanly possible..! “I-I’m going to get help, Ouma-kun..!” Wanting to turn and get up, he was soon stopped in his tracks, the other’s hand.. was weakly wrapped around his wrist.
“Eh..?” What did he mean by that..? He would surely die at this rate.. that couldn’t possibly be what he was going for. If anything, Shuichi couldn’t possibly let him after he just saved his life. Wanting to get up nonetheless, it seemed like the other wanted to speak up once more. Wanting to grant him at least that, the raven impatiently waited for the other to speak up, his weak voice soon filling the alleyway.
...Do you remember that ‘joke’ about being a vampire Saihara-chan..? That wasn’t a lie.
...was this really the time for jokes? As he started to pull away, it seemed like the other had anticipated his disbelief. His smile weakly widened, soon revealing two teeth that definitely couldn’t belong to a human. While his first instict was to pull away, he actually leaned in closer, carefully reaching out his index finger to check how legit those teeth were.....and they definitely were. They appeared to be razor sharp, rubbing against them enough to probably tear his skin. This was.. too insane to believe. But then again, everything about these past few minutes had been. It was so insane that it made sense.. the reason why Ouma was stil alive... was because he’s a vampire.
“...If the stories are true, that means my blood could heal you, right?” His voice was calm, way too calm for an insane situation like this. but.. Ouma had saved his life, the least he could do was try and put his head around this. “....you can drink my blood, Ouma-kun.” Perhaps he was naive, but it was the only thing he could think of to return the favor.. and Ouma better took it fast before the detective had the chance to second guess this. No matter how the other disputed his idea, he took a seat next to the other against the wall, figuring if something were to happen to him he at least had something to fall back against.
It took some time, but the supreme leader finally caved, the raven’s heart racing by now as he fully came to realize what he had just agreed to. Closing his eyes, he assumed it was probably for the best to get it over with as soon as possible, leaving the rest completely up to Ouma. Not expecting the other to go straight for his neck, a chill ran down his spine as cold hands firmly gripped his shoulders, head however almost instinctively tilting sideways as the other drew closer. “---Eh..? ...------!!!” As he tried to mentally prepare himself, the soft voice caught him off guard, the apology however not even half cutting for what he was about to endure next. His body clamped as teeth pierced his skin, a gasp out of pain soon escaping him as his eyes shot wide open. “O-Ouma-kun..!” He cried out, fully aware that it was far too late to change the situation now.
Though.. the initial pain faded as fast as it appeared, body gradually getting accustomed to the situation it found itself in. Where as he was worried for his own safety in the beginning, the rational thoughts soon faded, a rush filling his body as he allowed Ouma to have more and more control over it. Allowing himself to lean back against the wall, his head tilted just that bit more to allow the vampire a better angle to work with, fists soon clinging around the fabric of the other male’s shirt. It felt.. intense, breathing getting heavier with every minute that passed. His body was growing weaker, slowly inching closer and closer to losing conciousness.. perhaps that was exactly why his body had started to substitute it’s pain with some weird sort of pleasure, some sort of high he had never experienced before. He couldn’t think, nor had he the will to push the other away. No matter how awkward the situation was, he was fine getting lost in it, mind growing more dazed and fogged with every second that followed..
....until, it stopped. Feeling the other’s pressence disappear, he gradually opened his eyes, barely managing to keep them half lit as his body and mind were still attempting to make sense of what just happened.. and probably more importantly, what he himself just experienced. Keeping them peeled on the other, a bright pink hue appeared on his features at the vampire licking his lips. God.. this was embarrassing, and even more embarrassing was perhaps the fact that his body seemed to enjoy it. He could deny it, say it was just his body’s way of making him endure it.. but it was definitely a feeling he never experienced before.
“---it was a weird experience, I guess.” The raven spoke up softly, body still weak from what just happened and obviously not ready to admit his honest feelings about that encounter. “...but you seem to be doing better, Ouma-kun.. I’m glad.”
