Checkpoint was screened at Cuenca International Film Festival this weekend.
The FICC is one of the pioneering festivals in Ecuador, its 17th annual edition having just taken place from October 13 to 18 in the city of Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos in Cuenca, Ecuador.
This year’s edition consisted of an International Feature Film Competition (for works of more than 40 minutes of any theme, genre and style) and International Short Film Competition. Out of competition was a section dedicated to horror films and another focused on human rights cinema (including topics such as ecology and feminism).
Checkpoint was screened in the short film competition.
