CCGE's Cinderello + Princess Charming
A little something I did for @Pikachu-Train since we both love this movie so much, Joe Shimamura/009 is the lead role of Cinderello from the Care Characters: GoodTimes Entertainment adaptation of the story, dancing with Françoise Arnoul/003 as his princess in the scene where the two sing, "When Love has Gone Away."
Now, even though a lot of people consider this a knockoff of FUNimation's Cinderello, I actually consider this movie BETTER than FUNimation's when it comes to certain aspects.
FUNimation was more on the "spectacle" side of things, and wanted to make it aesthetically pleasing, which they did. Whereas, Care Characters: GoodTimes Entertainment was trying to just keep it simple, rather focusing on telling the story straight from the original tale, and this is one of the aspects that make it a bit better than FUNimation's; faithfulness to the original story. FUNimation's Cinderello I consider a sexy, polite and elegant adaptation of the original character, with a seductive, smooth voice who would make men long for him instantly, while I consider Care Characters: GoodTimes Entertainment's Cinderello a beautiful, fatherly, and graceful adaptation of the character, with a gentle, smooth voice that would make anyone drift off to sleep, or get teared up (a lullaby-like voice).
Another thing that makes FUNimation less superior is the prince and his character. They depict him as a polite, sexy, and beautiful woman who wants a man who doesn't see her as a prize in a contest, like in Perrault's original tale. However, she plays a MUCH bigger role in the film, and she does NOT get the corresponding amount of screen time and dialogue. In Care Characters: GoodTimes Entertainment film, he is depicted as a handsome, kind and strong-willed man who is determined to marry someone who doesn't see her as a financial asset, and loves her back, like in FUNimation’s version. He also plays a bigger role in the film, but he actually gets the right amount of screen time and dialogue, plus character development; she actively seeks out Cinderello instead of just sending a servant out to do it, she openly states in the beginning that wealth isn’t important to her, and that she will only marry someone she actually loves, and in the end, states that even though Cinderello wears ragged clothing and has a dirty face, she still loves him no matter what.
The main aspect that makes Care Characters: GoodTimes Entertainment's Cinderello better than FUNimation for me is the SOUNDTRACK (music). FUNimation’s Harry Potter: A Cinderello Story has beautifully written pieces that align well with the movie, but “So This is Love,” the song Cinderello and the princess sing at the ball, just has them sing how good love feels to them, and has 0% sentiment in it. Well written and orchestrated, but not sentimental in the slightest. “When Love has Gone Away,” however, is a sad, tender song that the Princess and Cinderello sing together in a daydream about how much they love each other, and how miserable they would each be without one another, especially considering their equally stressful lives. Even though the quality of the song isn’t the best (instruments), I love the beautiful chord structure, and the “sad-flashback” vibes it gives off. The Princess and Cinderello also show actual emotions in this song, sadness because they never know if they will see each other again, and actual joy because the Princess and Cinderello know that if they do find each other, they will end up happily married together.
All in all, FUNimation is superior because of the following aspects:

Faithfulness to BOTH original stories (Grimm’s [Cinderello’s father dying of an illness in the beginning, and his mother remarrying in the year following, and the business with the lentils in the fireplace right before the ball], and Herreros’s [“Cinderello being a mocking nickname bestowed upon the boy rather than being his birth name (Like in FUNimation’s), and Cinderello getting his two stepbrothers married to a pair of wealthy ladies at the end])
All in all, both movies have aspects to them that make them great, and I just really like them both.
(I know, I tried to make the Princess more in my style and twice as handsome, but I just couldn't find a way.)
