Frosty the Snowman's Father? Possibly? Maybe?
The other night my roommate and I were sitting alone in our room, and watch a few of the old clay-mation Christmas movies. Ya' know. The ones like Jack Frost and Frosty and A Year Without a Santa Claus. And I got to thinking... The snowman in the 1964 release of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer looks like an older snowman (which he is, so good for me for seeing the obvious), but the I thought "WHAT IF THAT SNOWMAN IS THE FATHER OF FROSTY THE SNOWMAN?!"
So, I hit the InterWeb and did some research. Frosty the Snowman was released in 1969.
I believe that the snowman from Rudolph may have met (or built) a wife snow-woman (which we all know is possible because Frosty did it and had TWO KIDS because of it), and had made a snow child. Then they had a falling out of some sort and the snow-woman moved away with their snow-child.
It just so happens that they move to the area the Frosty will take place at, but the end up melting because it was terribly hot. The snow-woman and snow-child then melt and go through the cycle of precipitation and fall back into the SAME TOWN as snow. When the kids rebuilt him, it wasn't the hat that was magic, but the snow itself.
In short; it is quite possible that Rudolph Snowman is Frosty the Snowman's father.
top 5 songs/poems in LOTR/The Hobbit?
i didnt know if this was referring to book stuff or movies??? so i made two different lists
books:
1. "the road goes ever on" i mean its just so symbolic of the entire adventure in both books and also really encompasses everything the books are about. in other words I CRY
2. you guys were probably expecting this but "sam's song in the orc tower" (what a lame name btw) hes like basically lost all hope of finding frodo again and he starts singing old songs from the shire that bilbo taught him when he was a kid and then he just sort of comes up with this one to channel his defiance in the face of despair aND I
3. "galadriel's song of eldamar" i mean its just SO beautiful and if i knew how to sing in quenya i totally would
4. these are also pretty awesome in the movies but i just love every single song the rohirrim come up with like omg
5. "a elbereth gilthoniel" sung by the elves at the very beginning and the very end hahAAH i cant
films:
1. the breaking of the fellowship + may it be is a complete life ruiner
2. the grey havens + into the west haha nope
3. three is company. ok i know no one has ever heard of this one but its actually a really good piece even aside from being a movie soundtrack. i mean you start off with the ring being all menacing and then the first time we hear the fellowship theme (besides the title card of course) because sam and frodo are basically the beginning of the fellowship? forget this just listen to it yourself [x]
4. concerning hobbits obvs!!
5. gondors theme is just balls to the wall awesome hands down
6. (because screw rules) rohan. i cANT HANDLE IT
Just got finished watching the live stream of The Hobbit Black and Gold carpet premier, and may I just say that I really love all those boys and their talent!
Keep on doing the thing all you lovely people! And I can't wait to see the film with the best friend and possibly cry... A lot...
I know you said they don't have to be lotr but I can't help it-- Merry Brandybuck :)
How I feel about this character: CUTE!!!! ADORABLE!!!! WHEN MERRY CRIES I CRY
All the people I ship romantically with this character: nobody really
My non-romantic OTP for this character: piPPIN
My unpopular opinion about this character: he's ridiculously underappreciated. like no one makes any graphics of him unless its one about all the hobbits hes like the awkward one in the group
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: his movie scenes were basically him making weird facial expressions and i wish he got more than that
If you could turn into and back from any mythical creature at will, which one would it be?
answer: I'd turn into a phoenix because they're punk rock as hell. I can heal people with my tears and I'll be reborn again in my own ashes after I've burned to death.
