Cheesy bread scrolls. They are basically like cinnamon rolls, but the filling is cheese instead of sugar and cinnamon, and the bread itself has less sugar and tons o’ spices (paprika, garlic).

Ingredients
0.75 c water
2.25 tsp active dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
2.5 c flour (half whole wheat, half white)
1/4 c flaxseed
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp? paprika
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
various other spices (dried fried garlic, herbs)
arbitrary amount of butter
1 egg
Large amount of grated cheese. 4-8oz to taste.
Other fancies, such as spinach, meats, etc.
Method
Microwave water for 30 s until warmer than your finger. Add yeast and sugar. Let sit.
Mix the other ingredients together, except cheese, in large bowl.
Add foamy yeast mixture to bowl of other ingredients. Mix, and then knead for 4 minutes. You get a nice plump dough that feels quite satisfying and squishy to knead.
Let sit for 30 min in lukewarm weather covered with saucepan lid.
Roll out into large rectangle and sprinkle the cheese with gusto. You can leave some cheese for the top of the rolls later. Roll up the rectangle and cut into 8 lovely rolls.
Place rolls on pie pan. There is probably some space between them at this point. Don’t worry, they will fight for space and squish each other out in no time! Ok, in about 1-3 hours, depending on the weather.
Let sit. You ought to cover the pie pan with your mixing bowl.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of rolls, if desired.
Bake at 375 F for 25-30 min. If the cheese is all brown, it’s probably done.
