Who was the first person born tai and van came out to seperately or as a couple.

And okay, the enby thing. I really don’t think Van id’d as enby, at least in our understanding of the word.
I think Van is very much a Third Wave Feminist (riot grrrl, and mentioning “herstory” in her story in ep3.01)
Though, I can guarantee post rescue Van read Stone Butch Blues and saw some tv glow. But at the same time probably went to NYC Pride and saw some cool old she/her Bull Dyke that felt really validating.
I think Van would cling to womanhood a bit with the survival. “Girl power” at its peak.
I think Van found Dyke to be a term that encapsulated both sexuality and gender.
I think people forget truly how far we’ve come since the 90s. If Van wasn’t regularly on the Internet, even in queer circles, I don’t think she would have figured it out.
But that’s not to say Van doesn’t feel dysphoria. People foisting femininity onto her feels icky icky and wrong. Anyone calling Van beautiful (besides Tai of course) feels too feminine of a compliment (speaking from experience here).
I think Tai has always had an understanding of what things tied with femininity and womanhood make Van uncomfortable and avoid it. Tai is not ignorant to social change so probably used more gender neutral/masculine terms from an intuitive standpoint, and Van basked in it.
