Philly Cheesesteak flavors cooked slowly in the crockpot, with soft beef, peppers, and onions smothered in melted provolone cheese and served on toasted hoagie rolls.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs thinly sliced beef steak. 2 green bell peppers, sliced. 1 large onion, sliced. 1 cup beef broth. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 6 slices provolone cheese. 6 hoagie rolls, split.
Instructions: Place beef steak, bell peppers, and onion in the slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over the ingredients in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until beef is tender. Preheat broiler. Open hoagie rolls and place a slice of provolone cheese on one side of each roll. Using tongs, divide the beef mixture among the hoagie rolls, placing on top of the provolone cheese. Top each sandwich with additional provolone cheese. Place sandwiches under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy!
