Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Also known as brewer's yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae is commonly used in the fermentation of different alcohols, such as tequila.
Another strain, known as baker's yeast, is commonly used in baking bread and other bakery goods. A similar species, Saccharomyces exiguus, is a wild yeast found on some plants that is commonly used in sourdough starters

In my Pokemon D&D game where I play Kaida the Salazzle Pirate, the DM early on introduced Bob the Bulbasaur; Short for Bobobo-bo-bobosaur, based directly on the titular ridiculous character Bobobo-bo-bobobo, a parody shonen anime about nonsense. I could tell you that Bobobo is about a powerful rebel hero standing up in defiance against the Evil Chrome Dome Empire, with only his amazing afro, unique "Super Fist of the Nose Hair" fighting style, and his best friends by his side...but that does not begin to remotely capture what happens in the show which typically could care less about having a coherent plot. Rather than having actual anime fights, he characters "Wigg out" enacting weird comedic gags which usually take over he episode and confuse their enemies into submission. There was a mini-arch where our party had to fight a cult of Necrozma who were holding a cosmog hostage in order to get to Solgaleo. The Cult leader was a close homage to Yzma from the Emperor's New Groove, but specifically an earlier draft version of Yzma when the movie was called "Kingdom of the Sun", where it was more of a played straight fantasy adventure based in the Inca Empire, instead of the comedy it turned into. In this earlier version, Yzma had a villain song called "Snuff out the Light" about how she wants to blot out the Sun forever to preserve her own youth.
Against my own better judgement, and maybe because I enjoy chaotic nonsense, Kaida hired Bob, and Kronk was in need of a new employer, so I as Kaida offered they come join us and work as my chefs. They have been loyal members of the crew who makes amazing meals...when he and his partner are not getting experimental and committing culinary crimes....they know what they did...
Thinking about Gambit in that cute little chef's hat he wears in the Christmas episode if X-Men the Animated Series.
