No writing has yet occurred but I did make baklava. So that's something. One of my favorite desserts, something I learned to make as a teen because my Dad introduced me to it. I'm not generally a big fan of nutty desserts but this one is a big exception.

Guidelines were released this week for restaurants to re-open their dining rooms. Read through the guidelines and, for smaller restaurants, they aren’t doable. So our owner has said we won’t be re-opening the dining rooms yet. 

On the one hand, I feel bad for small restaurants like mine because they are definitely struggling. On the other hand I am so relieved that we won’t be offering dine in. The sushi bar is in front, so if we re-open, I’ll be directly exposed to customers and I really don’t want to be. Too many stupid people who don’t care if they’re putting others at risk by going out. The last thing I need is to get sick right now. 

I wish people would take this more seriously. I feel very sorry for those who are being forced back to work just so some entitled bitch who’s tired of sitting at home can go out for dinner.

The only trouble with making homemade lasagna is that now i can’t stand the stuff you buy... it doesn’t help that the dish takes about 6 hours to make overall including prep
