Meet Sean Mazur! This morning we got up at 5am to photograph Chef Sean Mazur at the Community Kitchen… but he has been there since 4am EVERY morning. He pours his heart and soul into running this kitchen and providing meals to anyone in need. He told me this morning what started as community service turned into an unexpected passionate career. #TBT #Throwbackthursday #chefportraits #hotdogprops #Mustard #ketchup #rubberhotdog #locationportraits • Several years ago, a friend of mine @karamasi started an event called #thegreathotdogcookoff to raise funds for city harvest and other food based charities in the NYC area. There would be a meet and greet party a few weeks before the main event and my contribution was to photograph the participating amateur hotdog chefs. I’d setup a quick portrait studio using Dynalites, Mola Beauty dish and seamless paper in the backyard. • The fun part was letting each personality and quirkiness shine through. The only direction I gave was they had to use a prop anyway they saw fit. We had a rubber hotdog, tongs, giant BBQ fork and condiment dispensers. • The first time it was photographed, we used a bright yellow backdrop to symbolize mustard. The following year we used red for ketchup and the year after green for relish. • #canonbringit #molabeautydish #dynalite #dynaliteflash
